New System app called Absolute System. In need of testers

ok

no i just meant that the backup stuff was there.

Ok a reboot is needed. and this is better than titanium with that i had to ok each install this just reinstalled everything----great.

Suggestion after restore put up must reboot now would be great if it was a touch button right there. but even if after the progress bars for restore at end have it say you must reboot. it took a long time to reboot so that must be when it installs the apps im guessing??

It might be because I really wanted to do this and it is 3:11 AM but I can't figure out how to install this. I downloaded it via XScope but couldn't find a way to open/install and then I transferred from my desktop to the SD card (root) but still couldn't figure it out. Please help and forgive me for being too tired to keep trying without help.

welcome

your welcome, this app is becoming a great utility. i wish i could code :) But i will help you anyway i can. When you run out of ideas i have some for you :) you can make this the tweaking version of rommanger and earn enough to pay for the website for the files. Hope it works on the droid x that adds a lot of possible users.

yeah. i'm sorry i passed out just before 2 a.m. i'll try your suggestions and get back with ya. it said to begin with it had trouble parsing file. according to the file size it was the full size, so i don't quite get yet what the problem is unless there's something in the metacerts that don't jive with the X

2.1

Jsut occured to me the droid x is running 2.1 and this is made for 2.2 so probably have to wait for droid x 2.2 update and root.

just found this thread and have to say i could really use an app such as yours. id love to get a copy from ya when you get the time. Thanks

doh!...you're right. that would likely be the problem. it might not take it much to make it backwards compatible. the file locations had me worried on it anyway. i mean i haven't read where anyone has changed a boot ani on a droid to be certain it would still be able to switch it by putting one in /data/local. or if you have to switch out the original in /system/media. anyway...we'll take a look at it more later i suppose.
