one more thing depending on which version you use make sure you dl the files that are compatible no adb needed or need adb setup.

yea sorry but you can just dl the small zips depending on which big file you dl. the small zips are like 357kb so that will take 2 seconds.

i read that some steps can take 3-10 minutes, why the wide gap in time i dont know just what the op said.

Put my phone in airplane mode for the night, and now it's been stuck on 1X for about 45 minutes, and I had 4G full bars all day last night at home...this is weird.

Using the one click method in this thread, I have 1.12.605.6.

if you want to root dont take the update. but if you want the update and dont want to root take it but its probably not as fun as rooting and putting a custom rom on

Shoot, i'm getting this during rooting step 2, what to do now?

ERROR! Contact someone at chat.andirc.net in channel #thunderbolt. DO NOT REBOOT.Choose the bootloader option and press POWER. Allow the firmware to flash by pressing VOLUME UP. When finished please reboot into Android as you will have S-OFF.

Again, after rebooting turn USB Debugging back on and unplug your phone and plug it in again.

yea like i said i didnt root this way. read some of the threads on the xda and droidforums.net link posted regarding th 1 click method and maybe there will be some answers there. or go to FOSSnet Web IRC (qwebirc) and got to #thunderbolt and maybe they can help you there.
