New tb owners!!!

I got my TB delivered today (finally)...it's going to be a bit of a learning curve coming from the Droid1...but so far I'm loving it....been messing around with it for hours setting everything up and syncing.

One thing I've noticed so far is the camera takes way better pictures indoors. I use to have to turn all the lights on in the room to take pics at night. Took some tonight with just a lamp on, they came out great... And I find the speakers for music much better and also the calls sound clearer.

Not all of the games I paid for transferred and when I go to downloads they want me to pay for them again...good thing they weren't the good ones I play a lot...LOL

OK, back to trying to figure out more stuff.

where is my skype video calling feature?? :(

does anyone know if we're going to get that feature or has that been removed because of issues with the thunderbolt?

if skype video calling is never going to happen, can anyone recommend an alternative? also does this alternative allow you to video chat with someone that has the iLame?

I asked at the Verizon store when I picked mine up, because I saw a Skype icon on one of the demo models. The drone said that was just for voice and that Skype was still working on making Skype video work.

* Just repeating what he said.

Try Tango. You should be able to call any phone that has chat. I downloaded the Skype mobile app and it told me I would get a notification when it was running.

Yeah I would check out Tango for video chatting with other phones, works really good! Also if your looking to chat with someone who has a computer, download oovoo. Its very similar to skype and in some ways better.

Yesterday I got an Email and went to pull down the notifiaction bar and it froze up. I could scroll through the recent apps at the top and could access the phone and stuff at the bottom of the screen, but half the screen was stuck with the notifications window pull down. Had to reboot and this went away. On another note, all the folks talking about how many bars you'rre getting now vs before. I have noticed that my bars are lower too, but my reception is virtually unchanged. as a matter of fact I carried on a conversation the other day through an area that my OD dropped the call almost every time. My thinking is that my reception is actually better even though I may be showing fewer bars on my phone. Just my 2 cents!

So I decided on the Thunderbolt. Had it 4 days now. I love it so far. Granted, this is my first smart phone so I would have been impressed with anything, but I didn't expect so many options and this good of performance. I keep thinking, 'what can it not do?'

It is very fast navigating around, and running applications. The downloads are very fast too and I'm not using Wi-fi and only 3G. I've been going jogging listening to Pandora and Slacker, no problems yet in lag or skips. I've also been using my laptop through the mobile hot spot feature and it seems to keep up as well if not better with multiple streaming videos than my 6meg cable modem at home! I did not expect that.

I'm still messing around with it, trying stuff out, getting it set up. I'm trying to keep apps to a minimum to save on processing and bandwidth because I don't want to diminish this awesome performance with a bunch of useless crap I'll rarely, if ever use. For instance, email accounts that I don't check often I access through a browser. Same with Facebook, skype, etc.

Only complaints so far, other than some occasional hiccups {which I suppose is to be expected} is the battery. It burns up fast! I'm looking to get a slightly bigger after market battery, but not the extended. That thing just looks hideous! Otherwise, some phone call quality hasn't been so good, especially during app downloads. Not sure yet if it's the network, the phone's reception capabilities or has more to do with the people I've been calling. I honestly haven't been making very many phone calls with it at all. ;P

Best investment I've made in a long time as far as I'm concerned.

Oh haha, Thanks! That's not what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for apps itself that's stored in the folder, I check the folder /system/app, those r the apps that came with the phone. What I'm looking for those apps that I've downloaded.

Does any1 knows where are the apps stored in Thunderbolt? Which folder?
on your home screeen touch the little arrow up button that's in the lower left hand corner
