New tb owners!!!

1:51... 1 more hour to go then i leave this building and frantically get to verizon for the phone! i'm excited... and over tired since i was up til 4:30 looking at the phone on amazon and verizon... and ordered an extended battery right before i went to sleep which i'll hopefully have 2omorrow.

so... is everyone happy with the thunderbolt?

what's good? what's bad? is it everything you wanted it to be since august?

I got mine as soon as the store opened and there were two other people getting TBs too. The sales rep was really pushing the accessories. I had ordered a Seidio case and screen protector so I declined. Then I came home and found the case was on backorder for a month so I regretted not getting something at Verizon (with 20% off corporate discount). I ended up stopping at Best Buy and getting a case and Zagg and spending way more. Oh well. But it was also interesting that there were a whole bunch of people buying TBs at the Best Buy too. I heard one of the employees apologize to someone because they were so busy "due to the Thunderbolt."

As far as the phone goes I have to say it's pretty awesome so far. I can't believe what a difference the screen size from the D1. It's pretty hefty too.

I got mine for 199, 250 out the door with the Windshield mount, which was completely worth it. I got it from the Verizon store, the guy originally said he was going to add $20to the $250 for my early upgrade, but then took that and $50 because of my Florida Hospital Discount.
Best Buy didnt even want to sell it to me even though I had my PreOrder with them. I got the accident insurance for $5 a month from verizon as well.

Verizon's Customer Care is FTW!

Okay, so no htcsense.com on the phone, i wonder if they are going to put it on or say were f'ed. I want to get google talk working with the ffc, gotta figure that out why wouldnt they allow that. Also I'm in 3g not 4g and my speeds seem about the same. It takes forever to move 12 gig of crap from one card to my new one...

i do that by using sd card adapters and folders on my laptop then when i get the new sd card inserted into my laptop i transfer all the folder contents onto my sd card. i did that back in december and it didn't take long at all

Ordered mine on-line early this morning for fear of not being able to find one tonight after work. Now I get to spas out until tomorrow while listening to all of your wonderful stories. ;)

I caved...I bought the TB. It's so fast I can't let it go. Poor battery.

Anybody successfully root it yet? I've tried without any luck. Need my Titantiumbackup back!!!

Oh, another neat thing i found out.... again IM IN 3G.... and was on a phone call and surfing the internet at the same time!!!! Awesome! I'll try tethering and phone calls and see if i lose my internet.

Well, after reading one of the previous posts, I decided to shut down my old droid :( as I wasn't getting 3G on the new phone. As soon as I did that, my thunderbolt started right up with 3G.. Strange, that it would hold that up. Anyways, going to have some fun now...

Phone is fast, bloatware makes me sad (VZW Apps, Guitar Hero (Seriously?) and a bunch of other crap. HTC Sense sucks, but luckily I am a LauncerPro guy, so my phone looks just like my OG Droid, but only faster. Overall, I am impress and son, I am not disappoint.
