Don't do that!!!! OMG, with no research you're just going to risk your brand new phone?

I got mine this morning! the guy at vzw gave me my new every 2 even tho it was 10 days away. total was $241 but i bought some screen protectors for like $12. anyway i love it! for some reason we had some activating issues the network was wacked out or something but its all gravy now, i can't put it down.

I've got a little ebay case on there now, i was about to spend the $30 for the innocase which is nice but i just can't spend $30 on it because i just got off the phone with otterbox who said they do have a thunderbolt case in production. Surely this ebay case will suffice for a few more weeks until their defender comes out.

To load Swype on your new phone you have to delete the old phone. Go to Swype online and select the MySwype tab. Instructions are there to change your phone.

OMG>>> my phone is stuck in the reboot mode.. what do i do help me i cant believe i just did that. J/K no and the people at Verizon wont know what program i ran... they'll give me a replacement right away. Running Z4, the program ran through most of the way and seemed to work then dissapeard from my screen tried to pull up program and it just froze phone but then came up wanting to force close. Tried running wireless tether, said didnt have root access, downloading terminal now to see what it says.

Lithium batteries are produced and shipped at 40% charge, as that is the proper charge for the longest storage life of the battery without degradation. A 100% charged Li battery loses 20% of its life every year at room temperature, while it only loses 4% per year at 40% charge. Since the battery might have been manufactured months before being installed in the product, all Li batteries are shipped at 40% charge and kept that way in the product until the user fully charges it for the first time.

So should we let it fully discharge before attempting to fully charge it the first time or it doesnt matter?

Bumping this question because I would like to know this to.

Not sure if you got your answer but, no, these batteries do not have memory and do not need discharge.

I'm currently in 4G coverage area and right now with 2bars I'm getting 20-30mb/sec download and 30mb/sec upload speeds.. its pretty insane

Picked up my new Thunderbolt this morning, can't put it down. This thing is really fast compared to my old rooted D1. Quadrant benchmarked at 1905 but that doesn't tell the whole story. Everything is so smooth and fast.

Well, I'll keep it in this thread... here are some small annoyances that I suspect will be fixed when root becomes available as well as custom roms:

- Constant e911 icon in the notification tray
- .ogg files play at a reduced quality
- The numerous VZ apps, childlike games and other bloatware
- No user selectable flashing LED colors (Handcent)

Physical:

Location of power port isn't that great for righties.

Other than that... I love it.

Got it. No line to wait in. Just walked right in and picked one up. Guy said he was jealous that the phone is amazing. I am on the fence between sense and going back to launcherpro. I guess my fear is the sense features will be the big battery hogs. We shall see.

Got mine this morning around 10:00. Came from OG Droid and loving it!! Dont like how you cant charge and use the kickstand at the same time thought. Thats my only con at this point.

I came from the OG Droid too - keep missing the power button to turn on the screen, lol. Been using my OG Droid charger and it's taking forever to charge. Really really loving the larger screen and the ability to STAY CONNECTED TO WIFI (big one for me since I'm always near wifi).
