New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

Martin - I just got off of the phone and they did add one year to my contract - and being on a two year contract myself and getting my Droid last November - I am already able to upgrade but I had to talk to the right people to get that option available - the C/S Reps in the store didn't want to have anything to do with giving me an annual upgrade on a two year contract

The rep told me that any plan $59.99 (which I have) or higher is able to have the device upgraded annually at the 2 year pricing.

... but bummer I got a no-go on this unl. plan....

OMG, 55 minutes on the phone with her and did the switch.. Also changed another dumbphone to a Smartphone with her.. Data will still be $29.99 per line with a $10.00 credit per line.. I think this is correct.. So confused.. LOL

The ad says unlimited data though? Is that unlimited for dumb phones only? My eyes are bleeding trying to keep up. LOL. I guess I'll read up on the big screen after work.

Yea the ad is for 69.99, includes 450 minutes, unl. in network calling, unl. txt/pic to all carriers and unl. data.

I may have to pass on this.... I'm a lil over a year into my 2 yr.... and I wanna switch to 1yr agreements.... even at the $20 savings.... I don't think extending my contract another year is what I want....

No mention was made to me about my current contract, which is a 2 year contract being extended.

They extended your contract by a year for this... no??

My contract did not get extended by a year. I have a 2 year contract I just renewed when I got my uprgrade. It ends August 2012.

According to her, she said it was unlimited data for all my phones except one which was a old one so that is why I switched it to a BB with her.. So now I have 2 dumbphones which one will be switched out to a smartphone tonight after my son's football game..

Like all promotions, I bet something will get screwed up in the next bill..

The exchange active sync is for business users and costs more. Data package costs 29.99 the exchange active sync costs 39.99 I believe.

Was told the promotion is only by region. I live in NJ and it is currently not available.:icon_evil:

hey well just got off the phone with them and the supervisor said that it is currently not a promo. idk im still callin that number all week. has someone actually confirmed that its a true promo. also the website (actual link from email.vswshop) they tried to bring it up and they also said it comes up as a 404 error which means that its currently not in their system on verizon. maybe that email was for the higher ups in vzw.

Read the thread. I just got it and so have many others.

Didn't seem fair either. I've thought about calling back to see if another rep has a different take, but I'm sure that call center has been bombed this morning
