New Update

I just got the update in NE PA and I am so far very pleased. The music and video volumes are great. My GPS locks fast, approx. 10 secs indoors. I have no clue as to what battery life will be, but so far so good.

I have full scale LTE service, in Las Vegas, NV. Whenever I check for the update, it tells me that "service isn't available", when I do have service. Is this normal, until the update is available for my phone?

Huge improvement in battery life so far. With my typical use, I have lost only 4% in 5 hours after I updated. Yesterday I lost 20% over that same time (and that was after I rebooted due to a heavy battery drain).

I thought that I had noticed slightly better battery life since the update as well. I am now rocking the extended life battery which I put in my phone and it had 30% battery, an hour late after pretty heavy usage its still at 30%. Very satisfied thus far!

Update fixed my audio recording issues but I still can't use Vcast videos or bitbop. A fix for that and I'll be happy.

Hmmm...i grabbed the update this morning and now slacker radio constantly times out and pandora pauses about every 15 seconds almost like data us being throttled back...should have never grabbed the update

This may be true. I didn't see anything in the Update description that referred to improving the battery life. However, I'm wondering if the battery life will be improved for those in 1X/3G areas, with the 3G update. I'm in a 4G area, so I won't be able to check the 3G out for the next few days.

just downloaded the new firmware update, after the phone rebooted i noticed the boot animation is still long and pauses for like 30 secs after the animation ends...lame.
i wont do anything till i click the screen off, then it starts off like normal.

Downloaded update on my completely stock Bolt about an hour ago. Just now was in the middle of playing words and my Bolt decided to reboot. Before update, not once has my Bolt just up and rebooted.
