So wait, you can do a search and get some answers from Yahoo! Answers and some idiot bloggers to rebuke me, but 28 GENERAL MANAGERS of the NHL would rather have Crosby and you think your results hold equal weight?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Now, convince me you're not 14.

And apparently not much a 'reader', try again chuckles. Says Crosby topped 15, not 28. Kudos.

I thought you weren't going to argue with me? Can't resist though I guess.

It was a weighted poll. Ovechkin did not top the poll. Crosby did.

I'm not sure I agree with the "woe is mee Crosby has no team around him" comments.

Malkin is a hell of a player and seemed to be much more of an impact player than Crosby last year in the playoffs. Crosby is a tremendous player but he has a great cast around him.

Brackstrom and Semin are two great players on the Capitals along with Ovechkin, But Gonchar Malkin and Crosby make a hell of a tandem as well.

The penguins as a team were better last year which is why they won the clup. Main difference in the two teams is the Penguins have a better overall defense and a damm good goalie.

The caps lack in defense, and they may have a goalie now with that kid Varlamoff (who I believe was a teenager in the playoffs last year) but their usual starter Jose Theodore is wildly inconsistant.

Malkin rarely plays with Crosby though, so this isn't the best argument. They play together on the PP but their PP actually sucks (one of the worst in the league). Most of Crosby's points come on a line with the people I mentioned. Also, Gonchar isn't necessarily always on the ice with Crosby. However, Ovechkin plays with Semin and Backstrom almost always if I'm not mistaken.

I never said the Penguins suck, they clearly don't. I simply said that Sid has some ****ty wingers, which he does.

As a guy from the Pittsburgh area, I'd take Crosby or Ovechkin. You can't go wrong.

The thing is, you guys are comparing two players with very different playing styles. They don't even play the same position. It's like asking who is better....Kobe Bryant or Dwight Howard.

You can justify easily why one is better than the other.

Go Pens! I grew up, and still live near Milwaukee, WI. Our only real hockey team is an AHL affiliate for Nashville (It used to be IHL) and college. I saw the Penguins on the news when I was a kid and liked hockey, so I decided that would be my team, and it has been ever since. In pee-wee hockey I got to pick my number first, and I chose 33. My family was upset, thinking I should have taken something cool like #1. I chose to be half of 66, Mario Lemieux, because I was just a kid. I've never gotten really good, so I didn't want to pretend I was in his caliber, and so 33 has always stuck. I loved the team and then the more I got to know about Super Mario the more I admired and respected him, but even after he left, the love for the team remained, as I was Penguins fan before being a Lemieux fan.

I have an old Penguins hat that is lucky. I have never once worn it while watching/listening to a game and they lost. Im sure that will change some day, but even when they've been behind, they've always won when I wear the hat. It's strange. I played hockey growing up on ice, street and floor hockey. I never got really good, but still like to play occasionally. Im planning a trip to drive to Pittsburgh and see a game for the 1st time in Pittsburgh. I was going to do it this spring, but I think it'll have to wait til next season because I dont want to go cheap. I want center ice tickets right on the ice, and of course a new sweater... Lemieux, Crosby, Malkin... not sure yet. With the new arena coming I'm guessing it'll be pricey, so I have to save up.

I'm going to the game tonight against Buffalo so wear your damn hat. Miller is on a hot streak. It will be interesting to see who else we trade since clearly Shero has something else in the works to move one of our defensemen after aquiring Leopold from FLA.

I'm a penguins fan, but I still love watching OV. But anyways how about that gold metal game...best game I've seen in awhile.
