No, the battery just isn't good enough.

Battery life with smarth action lasted me 8 plus hrs on standby with 100% at bed and 100% when waking up!!!! (Again I know it's in increments of 10%, still awesome, could of lasted longer if I didnt messed with it, but thats not the point of the razr!) I tested the battery, and with 4g on, downloading games..etc, 100% screen brightness, playing games, non-stop usage, and everything I could to test and drain the battery out, which lasted exactly 2hr 45 minustes from 100% to 0%!

I use my phone moderatley at work, checking emails, facebooking, websurfing, a little downloading, and while working of course. During the end of my work day, I get around 30-40% by the time I get home. Now if I'm not super busy and having 2-3 hours lunches and what not :p, I DO need to be next to a charger! The Razr is like any other Android smart phone, it's okay.

Not like the old school flip phones from the early 2000's, I still have one of those puppies for my daughter, focker lasted me 2 plus weeks on stand by and still going!!:hail::biggrin:

my battery is fine im just saying the bigger and more powerful the tech gets the more battery it uses and imho razr has the best battery out of all the 4g lte dual core devices... because my skyrocket ate the battery like... a fat guy to kfc... considering i only use my phone for texting mostly and music it last awhile once again ill mention its not a psp LOL

Right now I'm at 29% after 12 hours of a fantasy football Sunday. That involves phone calls, text updates and web browsing to keep tabs on the scores.

Consider me more than happy with the battery life of my Razr.

I'm at 70% after '9h 25m 32s on battery.' Granted, today has been a very light usage day: connected to wifi all day, checked facebook a hand full of times, sent a couple dozen texts, and maybe 10-15 minutes talking, but I regularly go to bed with 30-40% remaining and most days I am using 4G. Yesterday, I actually was using 4G all day, and spent a good 30-40 minutes using Google Maps, and after 15 hours my phone was still at 30%. Occasionally, if I am in a location that has a less than ideal 4G signal the battery seems to go more quickly, but I almost never have an issue making it through the day.

I have had my Razr about two weeks and am pretty happy with it. I do find the motor music app useless. How do I disable it though? Would like to disable social networking as well. Thanks

I too would like to know how this is done.

Another thing that annoys me is when I have to continuously stop programs over and over, like Facebook, crackle, yahoo mail, etc. Very annoying.

You don't have to do that. After 2.1 Android handles all of that. If you stop them they will only restart, which actually uses more battery than letting them run. This is why task managers aren't to be used on OS 2.2 and later.

The Razr has one of the biggest batteries in a 4g phone. All who are getting bad battery performance just turn down the brightness to 15% or lower all the time. Believe me its more than enough for any indoor situation. Also, use smart actions battery saver. I get full day of normal use. I used to keep my phone lit up and suck juice like crazy, but then i checked my wife's iPhone and saw how low Apple keeps the screen indoors. I believe most cell manufacturers treat their screens like TV manufacturers. they want to show off the screens brilliance, even if it is not very practical for everyday use. As a result, we all feel the battery life sucks. I assure you I have tried this and my phone went from lasting about 3-4 hours to 12 to 14.

One more tip. Use Dark Wallpaper. checkout http://lifehacker.com/5746181/save-your-smartphones-battery-with-dark-wallpapers-and-themes

my battery dies pretty quick when I have the phone in my pocket with the screen locked...of course the phone heats up pretty good too and makes a nice hand warmer.:D

This is so true. My phone's battery takes a plunge while in my pocket too.

I turned off pocket detection and have not had that problem since.

The weird thing, it doesn't happen all the time. I put it my pants pocket...business as usual. Put the phone in my zip up sweater pocket, instant heater. however, its not always this case.:painkiller:

My battery was at 80% when I started Motocast syncing and Then started streaming a movie over wifi. After 1 hour 45 minutes my battery is down to 40%.

Seems pretty good to me.
