Latest news "unofficially" is that it's the VOLTE update which will enable simultaneous voice/data.

So was there anyone that was part of the soak test on here ? Will they confirm that it was for VoLTE. I would have expected that someone would have confirmed it by now .

I'm still thinking the Soak test was for Lolly Pop. Then again probably wrong . LOL

Yup I got Volte on Thursday evening .

Are you sure about that .We got Volte the next day . Soak tests usually last days as in 3 or 4 . At least the ones I've been in . If it was a Volte Soak people would have been talking about the experience by now if not sooner .

Hey guys, let us know how your battery life goes the next couple weeks for those of you who received the VoLTE update.
There was a pretty significant impact on my S5's battery life, so it'll be interesting to see how much it effects Moto devices.

Absolutely. The actual file was named indicating Advanced Calling. And it's not really surprising that it was available so soon after the (alleged), SOAK test. This was a small update by comparison to what a typical OS update would be. It flashed quickly and since it was primarily for one purpose there wasn't much that could go wrong - again comparatively speaking.

Pretty sure it was 4.4.4 that made the battery better on the s5 at least it did on mine . The Turbo came out on 4.4.4 . They did make some tweaks and updates with the VOLTE update for the Turbo. The battery is better for sure.

It was volte enhanced calling only.
Battery life has been the same for me.
