"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

Love the update... been waiting for the ability to skin this widget for a while! A couple feature requests though (these can go here, right?):

1. Would it be possible to include the ability to skin the toggle widgets (e.g., bluetooth, wifi, GPS, vibrate, silent) in a future update? That would round out the ability to skin very well and I think that there is great potential for options with the amount of skilled skinners out there.

2. The one thing that I feel is really lacking from the weather feature of beautiful home is a detailed forecast. I might consider myself as an obsessive-compulsive weather checker, and I found having a detailed forecast within the app a really fantastic feature in some of the other weather apps on the market (e.g., weatherbug). Unfortunately, there aren't any apps out there that are as comprehensive (and good looking) as Beautiful Widgets. If there was a way to include a detailed forecast as part of beautiful home, I would give this app 5 stars in a heartbeat, as it would be 100% irreplaceable.

Thanks for all the hard work so far!

This is something I would be interested in seeing as well.

Put them all on on 1x4 wide bar like the built in Power Widget and make it skinable. :icon_ banana:

BTW, here is Tama's very own "Airport One" skin!

This is my personal opinion, but I actually much prefer that the beautiful widgets toggles are individual 1x1 icons as opposed to the 1x4 size of the default power widget, because I do not use all of the icons, and I know many others do not either. Also, having the ability to move the icons individually to certain spots and not needing to keep them all next to one another on the same screen is a nice feature.

I suppose it wouldn't be a bad option to include both versions in a future update, if possible :)

I have searched and found so many variations of that carbon wallpaper. But can't find that one. Can someone post it? I really want to use Airport One with that specific wallpaper. Also, Obsidian with that paper too. This new BW has endless combinations!

FYI, it's not Carbon Fiber, more like machined/knurled black anodized alumnimum. It's called Pyramid and is a stock wallpaper from 2.1

I tried making my own today and it looks horrible LOL. The quality of the images I made are fine but for some reason things don't line up right at all. I think I'm missing the AM/PM and I'm not sure how to do the dots between time.

Ok, I know I will be a tool for asking - but I did look around a bit and didn't see anything. Not saying the answers aren't there, only that I didn't find em.

I just bought BW, and the only reason I did was that JonKyu's work here blew my mind! This is amazing, and I want it on my phone (layout, icons, everything). First off - amazing, great, KILLER work! Very cool!

Now, I know a little less than nothing about how to go about this. I bought, downloaded and installed BW, downloaded the zip file attached to the "Obsidian post" - what do I do now? Including, how do I get the same icons and such?

ANXIOUSLY awaiting replies (hoping the flames will be few),
Rob

Actually his Obsidian theme is already in the online installer, you don't even need to mess with the zip file. Add a BW widget to your screen and when configuring it, go to the very bottom. You will have 2 buttons there. Save and Skins. Click skins and you'll be given a list of skins that are available for download. Fine one you want and click it. Say ok to download it. Now click the "Installed Skins" button and you will see it there. Click it and Apply it. Now hit the back button on the phone and choose save. Now give it a second to update and you should see a sexy glossy black BW :)

Thank you for your response! Ok, I followed your instructions - but I still see my old wallpaper - am I doing something wrong, or do I have to do something else to get the look I see in the screenshots?

Also, how do I get the icons?

Take care,
Rob
