"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

Hi,

I have been trying to get Beautiful Widgets forever...my bank blocks foreign purchases, even after I spoke to them and they said they would remove the block for one week...it still wouldn't let me buy anything not in $'s. So, my question is, does anyone know if the developer has a site where they accept paypal payments or other payment types? I have purchased some different apps via paypal and the dev sent me the dl link...but I haven't seen anything like that for BW..any help would be appreciated!

Had the same problem with AMEX but Visa worked. I e-mailed the Dev and he said he has no control over it and it's Google's deal. Emailed Google and they said call the credit card company. Called AMEX and they said call Google.

Luckily paypal is coming soon.

BTW, for the guys doing the custom skins on the older BW version, if you can extract the png files from the "themed" app and post them in a zip, we can create a skin for the new version of BW so everyone can use them too.

All 10 of the "number" files and all 6? of the "background" files is all we really need.

Of course, only if you want to share

Kinda confused.....You want the .pngs from the old version? The old BW numbers won't fit (Out of town, right now and can't check) or line up with the new BW background. Transforming will just make them too jagged. Well, I haven't use the new BW in awhile, so when I get home I'll extract the .pngs to double check, and see if I could just convert those and send them your way.

Were those usable? I'm guessing clear backgrounds and flippers are harder than the colored ones I've seen. Still no rush...just a nudge here and there

That skin is Eclair. To get to the download screen for skins, tap on the weather to have the 4 day forcast come up. Then, hit the hard menu button on your phone, then hit "skins", then up at the top, hit "download skins"

Actually that is called "Hangover" and is also in the Download Skins list.

If you are downloading and installing manually then download the .zip file in the post with that skin, then extract it to /sdcard/data/beautifulwidgets/skins and thats it.

If you are looking for a Free Download of this Paid app/widget you aren't gonna get anywhere with that here...

No saying you are, but if you are, it is a BIG No No on this site.

Yes it is just a folder with images and one text file. It is just a skin. If you want the entire widget, you have to buy it in the market. If you don't want to buy it then you are out of luck.

I know it is none of my business, but I am curious as cat now...why don't you want to download it to your phone via BW?

You know you can move it over from your phone to your PC via USB if you want to mod the images files etc, right?

Of course we could download it to our phones, and move it to our PCs , then upload it here for you, so you could download to your PC.....but don't hold your breath for that to happen...BTW, that is a JOKE

First go at this.. I liked the font in the aurora skin, think i might get rid of the am/pm..
