"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

Missing something

I was browsing this thread, got caught up with the beautiful screens I saw you all post using the Beautiful Widgets app ... purchased it and heck if I can get anything other than the weather and time/date widget to come up ... none of the shadowing or backgrounds for any of the skins I see here appear ... Tried every scenario using the naked background and transparent to opaque setting ... nada, just my old boring background with a weather/date/time app ... what am I missing?

I did actually start there and went through the tutorial there line by line ... did not help, that is why something must be wrong. Either my download was not 100% or I have some other setting off.

Correct me if I am wrong but I should be getting the backgrounds and shadow boxes with the skins, right? (not just the weather/date/time widgets)

OH, you think you are getting the wallpapers seen in the screen caps... nope. That is done with your Droid.. Menu>Wallpapers

Like 928 said, Beautiful Widgets does NOT change your wallpaper or notification bar or anything like that. The skins only change how the weather/time/date widget looks.
