Official Broken Apps thread for Froyo

Only app not working for me is DroidLight. hmy: I can live with that as this thing is so fast and smooth.

I can 2nd this, Motorola DroidLight is the only broken app I can see so far on my Droid with Froyo.

the pure widgets can't sync with the new google calenders, or atleast that's the problem I've been getting. (i.e. pure music, calender, grid calender)

Audio manage, large, widget doesn't show bars.


Tried watching hulu on phone.. frames were skipping just a tad. the audio was off a bit too.

I can confirm this. I only have Pure Grid Calendar installed, but it doesn't sync with the new calendar. The app still shows up, but you get a FC when you try to add an event.

The my verizon app won't open. It says MDN can't be validated.

Market is sooooooooooooooo slow.

Still trying to figure out how to install busybox even after reading the previous posts.

Download busybox and place the busybox file where ever you keep your apps before you move them to phone.

Open a command prompt on computer, change directory to where you placed the busybox file and eneter the following commands at the prompt

adb push busybox /data/local
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
mkdir /system/xbin
cat /data/local/busybox > /system/xbin/busybox
chmod 755 /system/xbin/busybox
busybox --install /system/xbin
mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
sync
reboot

If it hangs at the SU command then check phone because you may get a popup from Superuser to allow the command prompt SU rights.

Version 1.15 which I just released tonight should solve your FC problems on Froyo. Please email me if you still see issues.

Installation of Google Maps unsuccessful

I tried installing an update to Google maps earlier but it said a manual update is required. I had it set to automatically allow updating of Google Maps, but it doesn't show "Update available", it just says "free" as if its not even installed...

I'm running Froyo 2.2 on the Motorola Droid. tried disabling and enabling wifi, doubt if thats the issue

My Verizon app opens on mine...and gives me the info (usage, etc..) that I click on.
Just tried it again.....worked.

Does your Maps not run? The updated version was included in the ROM that is floating around. The update is most likely just a mismatch of the Froyo version vs. the Eclair version.

Mine runs fine....version numbers are the same so I'm not worried about the same version not updating my version.

it runs fine. i just got another reply saying someone else had the same issue and its some type of incompatibility thing. it works though. must just be a bug

I would also like to know the fix. I have the beta and tried using the installer but the version it installed won't work. PM me if anyone knows how to get this functioning on Froyo...
