OFFICIAL FRG22D OTA patch is here. DOWNLOAD NOW!

My issue about FRG22D killing my battery was because something in the release broke one of my Exchange email accounts and was killing the battery trying to connect to the server every 5 seconds for push email. Removed the account and battery life went back to the normal...

Now why the release broke one of my Corporate email accounts...I don't know...

DOH!

That'd be a very good reason. The update enhances security and you're not the first to complain of a broken Exhange problem with FRG22D. On the plus side, once things get straightened out everything seems better in Exchange, I'm told. :)

Any links to others having issues with FRG22D and Exchange? I created a thread in the Technical Support section...

Also, how can you revert back to FRG01b? I had no issues with it and don't really need Flash...

It's been piecemeal, so not that I'm aware of.

As to going back, run the FRG01B update, preferably the larger file, and it'll push you right back. It'll give you time to find out any other issues that might crop up.

Oh, and Flash works under FROG01B. FRG22D merely lets you see it in the market... :)

hmm...so I just manually install the file from the recovery menu again? Or do I have to hard reset the phone?

yeah...not letting me do it...

error message: assert failed: file_getprop("/system/build.prop", "ro.build.fingerprint") == "verizon/voles/sholessholes:2.1-update1/ESE81/29593:user/release-keys" || ....

Just did the update patch, it installed fine but it's stuck on the recovery screen. It says "Install from sdcard complete." but it never rebooted. This is the third time I've done a forced update and it always rebooted itself. Do I click on reboot system now? It's been stuck here for 10 minutes now.

Well, I got tried of waiting and did the manual FRG22D. Given the I did a manual large file after the small file OTA FRG01B to clean things up, I said what the heck! Loading flash now. I had Flash on FRG01B, but removed it between the small file OTA and manual large file. Flash showed right up in the market and I playing a CNETTV clip.

Were you using the 79MB file or the 43MB file? The 79MB file should flash anything... but it was released before the FRG22D update.

Tried both actually...
Okay. I'm officially stumped, then. Maybe someone else can help. Sorry I couldn't do it for you.

I don't know if this would qualify for Rescue Squad assistance, but if you start a thread I'm sure you'll get people trying to help. If I come up with any other ideas I'll let you know, though.

I actually don't know which ~70MB file I downloaded (whether it was official OTA)...do you know where I can locate that?

Thanks for the help thus far...
