[OFFICIAL] Help and Suport

Is there an issue with the eri.xml file? I was looking into the NFL Mobile and Skype issue. Before when the NFL Mobile app failed to load it was because the Verizon Wireless banner said something other than 'Verizon Wireless.'

The banner does say Verizon Wireless currently on the shiz, but I can't edit the eri.xml file regardless. Pulldown Editor which has worked in the past now throws an error that the eri is not recognized.

Could this have anything to do with either of these apps' problems or possibly with facebook not wanting to sync?

EDIT:

There actually is no eri.xml file.

That was the only problem I had with the shiz... nice rom otherwise..

Having trouble with Home

I have been having trouble with Home the past two days.
Its happened a few times when I touch the home key I get the lwp with 5 screens but none of my apps or widgets are there. The only way I can get them back is to reboot.
Also I have had trouble when I touch my Gmail app it goes to the Market instead. At that point the only way I can get to my gmail is to reboot and it acts normal again.

I am running jrummy's remix 0.7 blue on cm 5062

Does anyone know what font comes standard with the Nex-Theme version of The SHIZ. I changed it to stock, but now I want to go back to the original font that came with the theme, but don't know what it was! Please help. I really don't want to go through all of them.

Ok, so I brought up my problem with v8 nextheme Google Maps not working properly for me in the V8 thread but I have heard anything more on it and rather than fill up that thread with questions about this issue I decided to come here (the right place?).

To Recap: Last night, just to make sure it wasn't the way I did it, I SPR'd a v7 red as an update.zip and wiped everything. Then from v7 in Rom Manager I went to v8 nextheme rebooted after successful boot just to be safe. Fixed Permission as a precautions, rebooted again, and went in to maps. It still won't find my location on the first try (but will if I exit and reopen it) and if I try to do anything else it force closes. I've done everything short of going into god mode and uninstalling maps and re-downloading them.

JR said he fixed this problem and it seemed to resolve the issue for others but not me. Any ideas? Thanks.

I didn't post that as an option in goodies or rm yet.. You would either have to reflash the rom or pull it from the zip under system/fonts and push it to your phone.

Did you try flashing the update.zip I posted at the top of the original thread on the first page? I think a couple other people had issues so maybe I uploaded the wrong Maps in there. idk... I have been a little busy but if you flash that and get no luck then I will make another one for it.

Hello all. I was running the updated remix (by the way Great ROM) but I am running into an issue. My Droid reboots when I take a picture and/or load a YouTube video. Help?

Heya,

Running The Shiz and I love the Cyan theme. The girlfriend loves it too.

One thing though that I'd really like to change is how my Droid behaves when docked in the Motorola Multimedia stand.

I'd prefer the default 'look' of the multimedia dock. Ie. I'd prefer that the screen does not dim, nor the display change to a single cyan-colored time and date display. That it remains fully displaying the time, date, temperature and music, photo icons, etc.

How do I change it so that when docked in the Motorola Multimedia dock, it stays and looks the way it normally would factory default?

Many thanks,

M.

Answering my own question here...

I wanted the default clock to always be displayed and not dim or go to a black screen whenever my phone was docked in the Motorola Multimedia Dock. Here's how to do it:

Change settings at Home -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> Stay Awake (Check it)

Hope this helps anyone else.

M.

Will do, thanks sir.

Hey, I like when people answer their own questions. thanks!

How do I install kernal's? Do I have to rename to update.zip? just drag zipped folder? or unzip and drag over? TIA. Running tha Shiz blue theme, nice work.

You can install them directly through the customizer in rom manager. Otherwise you can download the file directly and install through your recovery console.

Are you using clockwork or sp? Clockwork doesn't require you to rename anything to update.zip - sprecovery does.

Thanks very much for the response. I figured I'd have to reflash. I've been running The SHIZ Nex-Theme with 1ghz kernel for about 24 hours now and loving it!!

I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but I was wondering how to use the scripte that are in the goodies folder? Or are they already applied? I would like to use the full potential of my phone and your roms, which I love. I am still a little reluctant to use terminal emulator unless I have to.

Using spr, don't see the customizer in rom manager. Just doing manual install on pc. I have Dl'd the 1ghz kernal, and then I don't know what to do. Can I just drag it over and unzip on phone, or rename it, or...? Is it just like installing the Shiz rom, rename, drag to root, etc.? Thanx for the quick reply and help, do appreciate it.
