You can install them directly through the customizer in rom manager. Otherwise you can download the file directly and install through your recovery c

Using spr, don't see the customizer in rom manager. Just doing manual install on pc. I have Dl'd the 1ghz kernal, and then I don't know what to do. Can I just drag it over and unzip on phone, or rename it, or...? Is it just like installing the Shiz rom, rename, drag to root, etc.? Thanx for the quick reply and help, do appreciate it.

Rename to update.zip and move to the root of your sd card. Boot into sprecovery and install. Remember to click on the thing that says something about allowing the depreciated file or whatever first. I use clockwork and forget exactly what it says.

Anyone have any ideas whats wrong?

I have been having trouble with Home the past two days.
Its happened a few times when I touch the home key I get the lwp with 5 screens but none of my apps or widgets are there. The only way I can get them back is to reboot.
Also I have had trouble when I touch my Gmail app it goes to the Market instead. At that point the only way I can get to my gmail is to reboot and it acts normal again.

I am running jrummy's remix 0.7 blue on cm 5062

Ok, so I brought up my problem with v8 nextheme Google Maps not working properly for me in the V8 thread but I have heard anything more on it and rather than fill up that thread with questions about this issue I decided to come here (the right place?).

To Recap: Last night, just to make sure it wasn't the way I did it, I SPR'd a v7 red as an update.zip and wiped everything. Then from v7 in Rom Manager I went to v8 nextheme rebooted after successful boot just to be safe. Fixed Permission as a precautions, rebooted again, and went in to maps. It still won't find my location on the first try (but will if I exit and reopen it) and if I try to do anything else it force closes. I've done everything short of going into god mode and uninstalling maps and re-downloading them.

JR said he fixed this problem and it seemed to resolve the issue for others but not me. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you try flashing the update.zip I posted at the top of the original thread on the first page? I think a couple other people had issues so maybe I uploaded the wrong Maps in there. idk... I have been a little busy but if you flash that and get no luck then I will make another one for it.

Bingo! I had missed that the update went there and not to Rom Manager yet. Problem is resolved and the Rom is working perfectly now. Thank you for your help sir.

Hey, just rooted for the first time. I used SPR from 2.1 and then flashed jrummy remix v.08. Im still learning. This is way over my head so far. But im trying. So first thing I notice, my phone wont go to sleep if i push the power button anymore. I have to let it "fall asleep"

HELP! Non Tech Person here....

I must've touched something on my Incredible home screen and now the time display at the top is no longer there. It has moved to the top of one of the other available screens but I cant seem to drag it back over to the home screen.

I've also been checking around the menus and just can't get it back.

Any advice? And if anyone does have advice, can you dumb-it-down for me please? (way down.....)

If your talking about the clock widget, just long press on the screen where you want it and select widgets, then select the widget you want. After that go to the screen you moved it to, long press on the widget then drag it to the trash can to remove it from the other screen.

Yes, it's the clock widget, but for whatever reason it is not in my list of widgets to add onto the screen - only an analog clock widget seems to be available. I can't find any way to retrieve the one I want.

I was able to easily remove it from the other screen. Thanks for the easy to understand advice.

Well, I would just check the widgets in the list. It may not be named clock widget, Im not sure of the name of the widget on the incredible. I have the droid and mine is beautiful home widget. Maybe yours is just home or something similar.
Wish I could be of more help, maybe if someone knows the name of the widget they will post it here so you could find it in your list.

Ok, I have posted several times in this forum, with no reply. Could someone help?? I am having a problem with sending pictures messages, voice messages....etc!!! I can send text messages but NO pictures messages?????? This is something I do ALL the time, a MUST HAVE!! I am running Jrummy v0.8, blue theme, launcher pro, no scripts, I dont mess with them. running belkit 7 slot 1.3 standard. phone runs smooth, I have run kroush 5062 belkit 7 slot 1.1 standard no problem. this just started last night, been running jrummy for a couple of days, dont know what happened, havent changed anything. Picture messaging just stopped working???? ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL!!!! PLEASE!!!

If you have been running the rom with no problem till today, I would check the last couple of apps that I installed. Maybe uninstall them, But I would definately do a complete reboot. Shut the phone down and then power it back up. The problem may just be that a service associated with messaging got shut down by another app and never restarted, Or if you use a task/process manager maybe it killed it.
If none of the above works for you, try fixing permissions, Or if you use a messaging app such as handcent, Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.

Got it! Thank you. There were several clock widgets listed if u sideways scrolled thru the analog clock widget.

Thanks for replying SlateJones, but I did several reboots, check task killer, hadnt downloaded any new apps, still not working. I downloaded handcent to try another messaging app, no luck, same thing can send texts but no pic, voice, video, etc... just text messages??? I even try another rom, did a wipe also, same thing, I am at a lost??? If I can't get this resolved I will have to go back to stock and abandon rooting and jump ship on Jrummy's roms, thats when the problem started , I think??? If you have any other ideas, or anyone does I would love to hear them and try them, I don't want to unroot to stock!!!!! But messaging, pics, voice and video messaging is what I do most, family scattered out all over the country.

I have seen on other post where some other people have had simaler issues, but no one has replied to them either. This issue has not been address by any dev yet on any post, I have posted this problem on several threads with no replies at all. SlateJones I thank you for responding, if you have any other ideas please let me know. Jrummy I wish you would chime in on the problem, I like your roms, but without a fix, I will have to say goodbye to your roms, so please chime in and give me some ideas to try!!!! my next step is to restore a backup in rom manager to see if I can get back to a backup when every thing worked and slowly go forward to try to identify where and when the problem started and hopefully what caused it.

Hey Jrummy, love the V0.8 rom. I have it set up just like I want it. Only problem I'm having is more often then not when I get a call, I answer and the phone says the call is connected but theres no sound and the caller cant hear me. When I make a call it works fine. I wanted to ask what you thought I should do to fix this before I start guessing. I spent some time getting it set up and don't want to have to redo everything if I can help it. LCH

Hi just started running v8 and noticed when I place my phone in the dock and hold the dim butten to switch the clock blue and black background it only stays on for a couple of seconds then goes back to normal when out of the dock it stays blue any one else experience this
