Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

Okay I cleared data for contacts storage and dialer. dialer is now working again. So this seems to be a workaround for the moment

Maybe you should try not restoring your data at all and trying to make another 10 minute call. I didnt restore data using anything and everything is working boss. Not one fc or hangup at all.

Okay it had cleared up after clearing contacts storage and dialer. Then once again force closed after a ten minute call. As you suggested I have now turned off all sync (no contacts or phone calls listed its all empty). Cleared stoarge and dialer and am testing out once again.

Well after one 6 or 7 minute phone call once again it force closes even with all synch off and empty storage. As soon as the one call ends it must save it to storage and cause the problem I'm guessing

I was getting the dialer force close but I went in and wiped everything I could find and it works fine now.

Nm just did a 3 min call to my home phone and it fc again.

Alright, time for me to stop creeping the boards and actually post something. :p

I didn't see anything mentioned about it in the thread, so I'll ask myself:

Am I the only one who the notification LED isn't working for? E-mail, text, whatever - I get no blinking (or solid) light for any of them.

Aside from that though (and the aforementioned Chinese in the Call Settings) I absolutely love this ROM. Everything else is working for me so far. Market, GPS location, no force closes yet, etc. Thanks for all your work! :)

Does the dialer force close on you when you dial out?

Thank you!! This is why we recommended wiping. We can tell what specific bugs are exactly from the rom your flashing if you don't wipe.

This is the second time I have flashed the rom today. Dialer fc isn't to big a deal to me I can still take calls and make them through contacts with no problems. I haves wiped everytime I install a new version. I like to follow directions its an ocd thing. It seems that if the storage is populated by a call over a few min it can't read it an closes.

Good luck everyone I will check back later I'm going to see saw 3d with the wife so my phone will be off anyway. Hopefully the new translated phone app will work

Okay I just rewiped and installed clean. bypassed setup. restored nothing. made one phone call manually through keypad for ten minutes upon closing acore.process force close.

Okay, I have the force close repeatable on my phone. It only seems to cause a problem if the screen is off when the call ends. So I call my house phone, put the cell on speaker, set the cell on the table and wait for the screen to turn off, now if I hang up using the house phone (with the cell phone still screen off) then I will get force closes.

I think it has to do with the mode the phone is in when the other party hangs up on you. I have repeated this 3 times and get the force closes each time.

I got a single force close by holding the cell to my ear and hanging up with the house phone while the cell's screen is still off (this time off from the proximity sensor). I again get a force close, I was able to go back to the dialer screen after the force close though.

as soon as I hit the dialer icon it force closes.

I feel bad gloating about how sweet this new version on MIUI is some of you are having problems but damn this thing is nice. I even like the messaging app

Don't feel bad. I love the messaging app too and the phone dialer. I just wish I wasn't having so many problems.

Now I'm having issues with force closing on specific apps: ROM Manager force closes when going into settings and Ourgroceries force closes before even opening.

I've wiped X3, wiped X3, ... still same issues. Damn.

But the improvement since I last had MIUI installed is AWESOME. Great improvements. I guess I will just have to wait for a few more versions. :)

I have not flashed, so whats wrong with speculating by what others have been posting? Nothing....its human nature...its called reasoning.

The point is that many things that get fixed, causes probs elsewhere OR gets overlooked in these weekly releases. So...either one fix breaks something else OR they arent being as thorough with quality check before releasing.

So...with all these phone fc's etc...and me not flashing yet...is it okay for me to speculate now? I still gather info before I flash. I dont like flashing every week. You are missing my point altogether.

The MIUI devs are releasing these updates and its still not completely 100 percent working rom. Dont get me wrong...I still use MIUI (and dont plan on switchin to anything yet), but being honest that...not EVERYTHING works and there have been countless weekly updates. My point is SAVE the updates for when stuff is fixed (noticably). I think you missed my point.

if you dont like weekly updates then wait till they announce a stable release.

everyone knows that if they install the weekly update it will likely be unstable.

Well, what you dont realize is that its causing everyone to work harder than we should have to (ie d1 team, themers, users). I am not saying that there is no pro's in releasing weekly versions of the ROM.

In the long run, wether you like playing weekly, this will lead to a lack of interest in themes for MIUI. Truth be told, whats the value of working on a theme when you know a full wipe rom will be released in 7 days...when you worked on a theme for 5 days. Users like myself only have a themed version for 2 days.

Also, look at all of you scrambling around like ants trying to get crap to work. This could all be avoided, as well as not promoting a lack of interest by those willing to theme/enhance features....if they would get the crap working right in the first place before releasing it.

Also, I am not referring to Metickone or Zen or Jamezelle...those guys are our workhorses....but if you fail to acknowledge it is a lot of work to fix issues as they arise every week...that would be foolish.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions...but your opinions wont mean jack squat about MIUI if people get tired of having to work their butts off because of weekly updates...and possibly stop working on it altogether...just because it takes away from their personal lives. How long do you think people are willing to continue working on stuff that could have been fixed by the chinese developers before releasing. I do understand that there are different features that are designed specifically for use in china (which may have little importance to us here).

have you even been to the miui site it was in beta i think we all know what that means it is clearly unstable and it would be completly retarded to get upset cause we all know they could push an update the very next day its a hazzard of themeing for a rom still in beta.

Well I love the rom enough to deal with the dialer force closes for now. Hopefully 6.2 will solve them for me. Calls can be placed by going into contacts and pressing on an individual contact if needed. Everyone I need to call is in my contacts anyway. Thanks again for your hard work guys. I appreciate it much.

I had the phone force closes, but i fixed it by wiping everything-->installing 5.1-->rebooting--> install 6.1 (no wiping). You might want to give this a try if you have some spare time.

lol, thanks for the tip. I killed my battery reflashing so many times though, hehe maybe later. thanks

Been texting, browsing, using gtalk with no issues. I did not restore any apps. I did not restore any data.
I generally do not make phone calls, ever, so the dialer is not an issue for me. Although calling voicemail hasn't been an issue.

Have had no fc's since install at 1030am EST.

Excellent job metickone, zen, jez. I've always been a fan of metickmod so this is just a treat.

I'll be using the phone portion more during the week so I'll be able to get more info then.
