New this week, lockscreen music controls!

That's what's up! I was going to buy PowerAmp mainly for this feature. Looking forward to this one. I swear every time I turn around I am flashing my phone, LOL. Good thing I work Nights and have nothing to do most of then time.

I downloaded 6.4 with the new MIUI browser. In recovery I found the download in :

miren_browser/downloads

A lot of the apps that run in miui like the contacts dialer and lock screen are tied to the framework and would be a challenge to separate from the rom. But someone might be able to do it. It just hasn't been done yet. That I know of.

Lock screen music controls would be great! I tried winamp but it seems that the winamp built in music controls does not work with the rom...

Nevermind I forgot to enable the lock screen option lol. Oops.

It's not really a MIUI Browser. I just renamed it to that cuz "Charming Browser" sounded kinda weak. In all reality it's made by a Chinese group named MiRen.

So those different colored lockscreen "glows" in the framework do work. Hmmmmm I was wondering what all those were for. Now how to change em.....

Not able to send sms messages without a FC.

I love the dialer and contacts on this ROM. Is there anyway to install it on another ROM?

The only roms I would recommend installing this over is V6.2 and V6.3 of MIUI that's it. It will work over others but you're bound to get fc's somewhere along the line.

Yes I figured I would get some FCs on this. But not being able to send a text at all is a deal breaker. Keeping my fingers crossed a new miui update will work for me in the future.

Like I was saying I like the dialer and contacts app on here. Been looking for a long time for a contacts app that had the search field on top by default. I hate having to hit contacts - search - tap search text field. Seems like a lot of buttons to hit. This contacts app has one button hit to search.

Is it possible get the apk and install it on a different ROM? Thanks !

think its your phone, i just sent about 5 texts in 5 minutes and all of them worked.
this keyboard is WAY nicer than the black one!!!!!

Nah C3, I was just commenting on irishlaxer's post about him not being able to text. I haven't even loaded 6.4 yet..Just reading a few post before I do so I know what to expect..

FileExplorer.apk in "/system/app/". It's used by Backup.apk if I'm not mistaken.
