In all seriousness I think I need a netbook. Does anyone have any suggestions for them?

My wife has a hp netbook and i hate it. the keyboard is too small and i am always hitting the wrong keys. sometimes i wonder how i can type on my droid...

+1 on the netbook keyboard, but add to that the issue of rubbing your thumb across the touchpad while typing and I'll never own another netbook. OTOH my wife really likes hers, but she still has issues with her thumb rubbing on the touchpad.

I have a 10 inch EeePC and I dont have that problem. And I have semi big hands.

my brother has an Asus netbook..he loves it. and as for the big hands thing being a problem, he and i both have really big hands and i use it sometimes, never had a problem.

cant help with the name though as im not that creative lol

edit: agreed with eggspeed...if its made by you or zen id install it if it didnt even have a name at all

That's what the wife has. I had a HP but passed it on to the kid to take notes with when she broke her wrist. Now I'm back to my trusty M6400, it's like carrying a cinder block around but I can do anything on it.

Asus...I have three of them. I'm a bit of a puter junkie that downsized...:icon_eek:

...connectivity is great, bluetooth and all...

asus? I keep hearing and seeing them but I dont really know anything about them. Honestly I think I'm done with HP and all it's partners. They have cheap parts. Is Asus affiliated with them at all? I know a bunch of the major manufacturers have their computers build at the same factories with parts from the same manufactures.

Asus was built on notebooks first and then spread out. They've been doing it a while and build a solid system. The battery life is getting pretty good on them now too.
Oh...and not affiliated.

yeah not affiliated. asus actually made some of the parts for HP (the ones that actually last) and other pc's before they started getting onto their own thing. ozzie hit it right on the nose, battery life is among the best as of right now

like i said earlier, my brother bought one after quite a bit of research. seemed to be the best, or close to it, for the money (he came from an HP and all he had were problems and no support whatsoever) HP's terrible

about MIUI though, what time were you expecting to release tonight? (or do you not really have any time frame?) lol

When 11.05 gets uploaded does anyone feel like posting a video for it running on the droid? I'm not really good with that type of stuff. Any youtubers in here? Here's a pretty good video someone did at xda of 10.29

!

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll look into them this week.

As far as MIUI is concerned I'm looking at about a 3 hour timeframe. It should be out around 11pm (PST) as long as everything goes smoothly.

Let's hope everything goes smoothly.

I got me an HP dm3 and its pretty slick. 1.6ghz dual core amd 4gb ram and 600gb hard drive. No optical drive though but I get about 6 hours on a charge

Sent from a galaxy far far away.....

gees...and I have to get up for work tomorrow...

The good news is my wife's weekend to work, so I'll get some time to play too!

Yo MO...I did understand you said netbooks, not notebooks. Great units to travel with. I use one in the truck when we tow the RV and we get internet supplied by the phone going down the highway...friggin' awesome.
