I'm really liking this rom so far. Used lithium mod up until now and this seems to be much more smooth.

The one main problem I'm having is that I cannot access the droid's programming menu with this rom. dialing ##PROGRAM just gets me a wrong number.
I just realized up until now that I didn't have it set for the better voice quality.

I don't want to flash another rom to update it but I guess I can if I have to.

I will look into this right now.

I asked about this several pages ago, and I'm glad to see it will be addressed. I did a little research and understand there are some native system apps with the default ROM, namely PhoneConfig.apk, ProgramMenu.apk and ProgramMenuSystem.apk, that affect this functionality, but they are missing from MIUI. I hope that helps.

does anyone know what the background file is called for the sms conversations? ived tried a bunch and i havent found it yet. im editing it and im not sure which it is.

Applying the redraw fix (search this thread)helps out tremendously, mine only redraws when returning from dock mode or if i open the keyboard while using the launcher.

Found it.

su
echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 > /data/local.prop

Ran it, verified it was there. thanks.
Though I do find that after a redraw (when the keyboard is opened/closed) it seems to slow everything down for quite some time. Anyone else experience this?

sms_message_out_normal_bg.9

etc.

Found it in /system/app/Mms/res/drawable-hdpi

That what your looking for?

I went ahead with mine and flashed a different rom and changed it, then restored to my latest backup of MIUI. From what I read the changes made in the menu should stick even when changing a rom.

Hopefully somewhere down the road it can be added into MIUI in case anyone ever runs into location where the EVRC-B codec doesn't work and they need to change it. Thats the only real reason why I needed into the program menu in the first place. Anyways, it was painless restoring back to this rom so it's not a big deal to me.

So, from reading the engrish over on MIUI.com, it appears they are adding official support for the Moto Milestone starting this week. Isn't that the same thing as a Droid1, but with a jacked up bootloader or something? Does this make Zen and MetiCk's job any easier? Hopefully so.

That would almost put them out of a job; well not really, more like their job will be made much easier. The locked bootloader on the Milestone only prevents 3rd party kernels from being flashed; Milestone users can load basically any ROM that the Dev's put out as long as they build it for the stock kernel. But still, we as Droid users still can't load up a ROM designed for the Milestone and vice-versa, as I believe the drivers are not actually the same for both devices. Plus, there is still the translations that need to be done for use non-Chinese speaking/reading folk.

I just installed 6.4 MIUI, it's pretty good in speed and stability from 6.2. I like that DSP Manager is in it now. But somehow on the homescreen I was able to put one icon on top of another (not on purpose obviously). I got it to move and then the bottom one was accessible again, but it was weird. Also the system uninstalled an app I had restored and already used a couple times. I used the MIUI Backup app, and when I restarted the phone later it booted and the app was gone. Then it doesn't let me reinstall it from the market, it always says installation failure. Are there other people experiencing problems with the built-in backup and restore?

Also, I saw that the next version (11.xx...) is out for Nexus One and Incredible, and it looks to have some cool new stuff like the lockscreen music controls. I can't wait until Team D1-MIUI gets that release out!

The 11.5 update had several bugs in it, all dealing with the music lock screen, so it wont be released for the D1. Next one is supposed to have bug fixes for this.

these kinds of comments are decidedly unhelpful, and not appropriate. you are free to express your opinion, but it could, and definitely should, be stated in a more respectful way in this forum.

Sorry dude, was just trying to make a point that from a design standpoint, it is a horribly done theme.
