Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

I had to venture over to another ROM. I LOVE MIUI, but I couldn't deal with some of the sluggish-ness with it. I had some slight issues with it that were posted in the Issue Tracker, but it started lagging on me and I was missing calls/texts. I cleared cache, tried uninstalling apps to free up some space (didn't use an appkiller because I don't believe in them), and the like. It's a great ROM, I just can't use it for the time being until I can get my phone to not lag so much. I use my phone heavily due to being a college student and having two jobs, so my battery isn't the greatest (in general, not ROM specific) and I rely on Gmail, Calendar, Texting, Voice, Email, and Tweetdeck. All in all it just got a little laggy. It may have been that I needed to re-flash, but I figured I'd stick with something more stock until I can stabilize my droid with MIUI. I will continue to stick around though and watch the progress grow.

Me too. Also, I ended up "upgrading" to a Droid 2 so no more MIUI for me. I'm half tempted to switch to an X but I don't know if I can deal with the size. I guess I could get the X and switch between the D1 and X depending on what shirt I'm wearing...

FWIW the D2 doesn't seem much faster than the D1 so it really isn't much of an upgrade.

Weird. I am not experiencing any problems, except for slight redraw from landscape mode keyboard open or on dock to portrait.

I had to switch because I could no longer transmit data over 3g.

I'm on metick's FRG83 build.

Did you by chance accidently hit the data button on the pulldown menu? I have done that before, and it left me clueless for a while. :icon_eek:

also, if you get low on battery, it will automatically turn data off, you have to change that setting and re-enable data. I made a funny face the first time it did that to me.

Yeah the battery features are nice in the rom but if you don't know about them then it is a pai the first time the phone gets low power.

The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.

What is considered low on battery? I'm never below 30%.

And no I didnt hit the data button on the dropdown.

You can change this setting or turn it off all together, just go into settings>system settings>Battery Settings>Alarm level for low battery

I don't recall what this is by default as it has been a while since I tinkered with mine. While I would never want data disabled I will say that MIUI has some awesome power saving customizations built in, more so than any other rom I have used.

I will also say that I'm not having any issues with sluggishness with MIUI, it runs quick as hell on my phone and the battery lasts all day w/ heavy use in the morning and light use in the afternoon/evening (off charger @ 6:30 am, usually have 20%-30% when I plug in around 10ish) I keep it overclocked at 800 with the default kernel.

New to miui....just wondering if there is a way to turn off the dial pad sound? I did see it in the settings!

Alright so, I'm having another problem that I could use some help with. I tried calling somebody earlier today and when I call them, it dials my voicemail and asks for my pw. The person I dialed usually doesn't have their phone on anyways but can't figure out why it dialed mine.

Any help would be appreciated.
