Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

Alright so, I'm having another problem that I could use some help with. I tried calling somebody earlier today and when I call them, it dials my voicemail and asks for my pw. The person I dialed usually doesn't have their phone on anyways but can't figure out why it dialed mine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a reoccurring issue or has it only happened once?

This is the first time I've run into it but I dialed the number about 10 times to see if it was buggy. I know that the persons phone was off after talking to them later. It just seems as if its dialing your own voicemail insstead of theirs.

It doesn't have a problem dialing to anybody else as long as their phone is on.

Hmm, well as a test I went ahead and called my other phone (X on Verizon) and had no issues reaching the correct VM. Is the person you were calling on Verizon or a different network?

Its actuallya family member on the same plan (verizon). Not really sure what to try and fix it. Might have to flash to another rom later and test it.

Well that's really unusual, though it does seem drastic flashing to a different rom might be your best bet since you've essentially eliminated everything on what I can only imagine to be a pretty short list. When you flash make sure you do a complete wipe of data and cache, just to ensure that no problematic remnants are left behind.. If the issue is resolved after the flash, flash back to MIUI (again with a complete data and cache wipe) and see if the issue reappears.

BTW, a nice rom to try is BBV0.5 :)

Good luck and let us know the outcome.

okay well it MAY not be a problem with any rom or even your own phone. i know for a fact that if the person you tried to call had previously (ever) dialed *68 then your number, it will forward all their calls that reach voicemail, to YOUR voicemail. not saying thats the problem but it could be. sometimes it even forwards calls to your phone

its actually an easy thing to do by mistake. *67 then dialing a number allows you to make a call under an "UNKNOWN" number. if someone accidentally dialed *68 it could have been a simple mixup

Is anyone else having launcher problems? Like it loads so slow and it seems like there is no cache as in it has to load up every single time I leave a game or anything like that. Is there a way to fix this or make it run faster? I'm running Slayhers 1.1ghz and it seems like thats not even helping.

Applying the redraw fix (search this thread)helps out tremendously, mine only redraws when returning from dock mode or if i open the keyboard while using the launcher.

Found it.

su
echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 > /data/local.prop

Ran it, verified it was there. thanks.
Though I do find that after a redraw (when the keyboard is opened/closed) it seems to slow everything down for quite some time. Anyone else experience this?

Try this.

okay well it MAY not be a problem with any rom or even your own phone. i know for a fact that if the person you tried to call had previously (ever) dialed *86 then your number, it will forward all their calls that reach voicemail, to YOUR voicemail. not saying thats the problem but it could be. sometimes it even forwards calls to your phone

its actually an easy thing to do by mistake. *87 then dialing a number allows you to make a call under an "UNKNOWN" number. if someone accidentally dialed *86 it could have been a simple mixup

Interesting information. Thanks for sharing that. :)
Then the question is, how do you undo it?

i THINK you need to dial *68 then your own number to switch it back. not positive about that though.

found that out when we used to make prank phone calls and try to block our numbers, accidentally dialed *68 instead of *67 hahaha
im a loser i know

Thanks hop, now onto the compcache question...Is it good to run it on this rom? I have found that some roms work better with it while others work better without it.
