Older....Official D1-MIUI-0.12.3.2

Really? Sweet. Thanks for letting me know guys! And yeah, that was the one I tried. It was posted in the MIUI thread yesterday, I think it was yesterday, and it changed my icons so I removed it right after. But, now that's it's fixed I'm definitely trying it out again

Wait, if it was posted for a different device then how did it work on my phone? The fly-in video is the exact same as the one I watched and used for my phone and it changed them?

it worked for your phone, but it was made for the N1, you may not have noticed, but you also lost your keyboard backlight, the lockscreen could be bypassed by the menu key, among a few other things you lose by using incompatible framework.

all that is fixed now in the port thread, though.

Oh, I gotcha. I didn't use the keyboard or anything when I did it so I didn't notice any of those problems. Glad it's fixed. Do you know if there is a way to turn off that thumbs up thumbs down bs? It didn't do it until today. I can't even type the work now or anything no or it put it. So, it's "thumbs down"w. I don't like it at all

Wait so we have a working circle battery zip that contains a compatible framework-res? Where?

Super Circle Battery Mod--Nexus One

The link title makes it pretty darn clear that the framework is not compatible with the Droid and will break keyboard backlight. It's sort of mindblowing that you would post that immediately after it was discussed that mods for the Nexus One will break keyboard backlight, etc.

That's N1 framework and will cause the same issues i mentioned.

I'm sure it'll be ported to D1/Milestone, but as of now it hasn't been.

i think there will be an option to use or disable emoticons in the sms app in the future, you'll have to deal with it for now though.... and when you ask the devs about it... try not to come off so ungrateful... i'm sure a lot of time and work was put into adding that.

Just install this on my droid, only problem is my screen does not rotate? Is there a setting I need to choose to have it rotate?

your best bet is to wipe because its a new release, not just an update. if you choose NOT to wipe, make sure you do a nandroid just in case.

Actually, I did wipe before installing this and the previous version of Miui and my screen has not rotated in either version. I think that maybe it only happened once but that was it. I too am interested in knowing if this is an issue for many others. Yes, my screen rotation setting is "on" in the pulldown menu. Any suggestions?

I know that it is for the Nexus build, obviously. I'm not blind. I don't know what it is about people being dicks today but it really isn't necessary. I simply posted the one posted in the MIUI thread that was said to work for the Droid. That's it. Did I say that it wouldn't change the backlight or any of the other issues, no, I did not. Like I said, I posted a working mod. Thanks

I pushed the Mms.apk from 12.03.0 to get rid of the emoticons/smilies. Honestly though I'm sure a lot of time was put into translating to smilies to work in English, it's haphazardly done. Not a lot of thought was put into it, it makes texting the most day-to-day phrases an absolute mess... but maybe that's how the Chinese like it.

If it isn't fixed by new years, every "Happy New Year!" text that you send/receive will look like ":biggrin: New Year!"

Yesterday = ::thumbs up::terday
Nothing = ::thumbs down::thing

Oh, I didn't mean it in a negative way or anything. I was just saying it like that to say it. I like the feature, I just don't want it doing it when I type now or know. I didn't mean it ungratefully or anything like that. Should've worded it differently. I wasn't thinking about it. Sorry about that

I realize that, but yakitori was specifically inquiring if there was circle battery mod with Droid compatible framework. In light of the discussion we were having regarding Nexus One mods not being compatible with Droid frameworks, my jaw dropped when you posted that link.

Okay, my bad. I didn't see the part where he mentioned framework. But let me know instead of being a dick. Not really that hard. A simple Hey, he asked for compatible framework would've been just fine. When I read it, that part didn't register. Simple fix. You and that other guy

MIUI doesn't support landscape if you're referring to your homescreens, as far as I know. The apps will rotate but the homescreen doesn't

one thing that needs to be add to any new miui update is some way to add a pin lock to the phone and add a 1 ghz overclock kernel with the rom like ud and chevy does and add some way to have your led flash when you miss a call or for email as well and by the way amazing rom just needs some things

This is one of the most stable and unique ROMs i've ever ran on my Droid. The only thing I really miss is the inability to sort and display contacts by Last name, First name. I've always done it that way to keep family members together in my contact list.

Other than that, this thing keeps getting better.
