I think this one will keep you rooted but the other one in the TH3ORY roms thread will for sure
5.5.893 will root. you need to forever root b4 5.9.901 or u will loose root.

oh I have cam apps now...as i am running 901 kin3tx...but that was just upgraded for the radios to work with kin3tx..the ota 901 was supposed to have a camera fix..but i wound up with no camera at all(except fast burst camera which i strongly recommend)..and no, i didnt use that thread..i used realbbb's fix..as i wound up in fastboot from p3s original way cause i updated to 901 lost root and tried to go back and it bricked...for 3 hours...i loved every minute of it to..as when things go wrong, thats when u learn the most....everyone was posting their trials and errors it was the only good part of this holiday season...

not sure but dont you need root for cwm and nandroids,
about the drivers, the newest version is always recommended, not that older ones wouldnt work too.

on second thought, i would say you could if rooted but i wouldnt use the nandroid from a leak after you get on the official build unless you wanted to revert back off the ota path.

I tried the 1-click path saver this evening and everything started fine (On 5.7.893 trying to get back on OTA, never been on 5.9.901). This is how far I got:

writing 'preinstall'... OKAY [ 24.483s]
sending 'preinstall' (49152 KB)... OKAY [ 4.684s]
writing 'preinstall'... OKAY [ 4.285s]
And then it sat there for 20 minutes, hard drive spinning away, Windows clock freezing for 10 minutes and then catching up. But never did the webtop start sending. I thought I was hosed, and eventually had to shut down phone and pc. My phone actually booted up and all of my data and apps were still there, the About Phone info just listed 5.5.886 as the system version. However, I lost root and can't apply 5.5.893. Any thoughts on what I should do next? I was using the latest Moto Drivers and have no idea wtf happened. Thanks.
