Only USA Band available on Droid 2 Global

Did you get any further with this?
I bought my razr xt910 phone in Dubai Duty Free and the same happened. I'm in Norway, and the only radio option is 'USA Band'...... and the phone doesn't even recognise a network of anykind.
I can't change it at all. I have wifi, but not much use on a phone with no network coverage!

This isn't the RAZR section. However you clearly cannot do much unless you find the SBF image for the European RAZR (do not ever try flashing the US image). Not sure if unlocking the bootloader can help, as you still need to reflash the radio firmware and its settings.

I had this same problem and was able to fix it without SBFing....I had to speak with the local Sim providers data department several times but I was able to get a more detailed APN than the standard after inputting it and turning the phone off and backon again. Presto I had data connection again! it took a few calls/visits to the provider but well worth it using the local data plan beats the Verizon plan and saves $ too.
