OTA Updates Possible Before The 11th?

What annoys me most is the lock screen goes dark in a few seconds unless you unlock it. What's the point of this? Is there a way to get the lock screen to last longer?

How does making the unlock screen a last a second or two save the battery. You have to press the on key to get to the unlock screen in the first place. 5 seconds wouldn't kill them... 10 seconds even better. Rather stupid if you ask me. There should be an option.

maybe the on off button gets pushed allot inadvertently while in peoples pocket.

They prob figure if you want to turn it on, you'll hit the on/off button and if you want to unlock it, you won't take more than a few seconds.. otherwise it was an accident that it got turned on.

not to be argumentative, but we would never know if its in out pocket.
But an option to alter the time wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I agree 100%. Another stupid choice. Keep the freaking screen illuminated long enough for me to un-lock it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to see the screen longer than .5 miliseconds.

You may have an error if your unlock screen goes away that fast, mine stays lite about 10 seconds.....

.5 milliseconds? Seriously? I didn't even notice that the screen turned off after 5 seconds until someone mentioned it because it doesn't take me longer than a second to unlock my phone. This is definitely not something I would complain about. The landscape keyboard being too slow to keep up with me typing is getting annoying. I like the new lock screen's clock, don't care either way about how it unlocks just as long as it does unlock. Just realized my contacts were erased which also makes me mad, now I have to add every contact manually from my old phone.

Despite the thread of people complaining about battery life (there is also a thread saying battery life is great) I think one of the things they decided to do was shorten the time that the lock window stays open to help battery life.

How hard is it to push a button a second time?

Because of the update? I bet they are still there. Several people have had this happen. Go into contacts, hit menu button, select display options, choose gmail account, and put a check by "all other contacts"... see if they show up now.

Trying to add my location to the update map. How do you ad
d your location to it? I'm not seeing any button to add it. Sorry, I'm slow. :-)

Go to maps and click on the menu buton. Click "my location".

Unless you mean latitude. In that case, go to the map and click "layers". Then you can setup latitude for others to see where you are.

Yea...I wanted to do that too...Bubbleass..wrong map my friend. The one EVOIXMR and I are talking about is a US map with all the states that tracks where Droid owners are that have been updated or just choose to post their location...:icon_ devil:
