OTA Updates Possible Before The 11th?

Yea...I wanted to do that too...Bubbleass..wrong map my friend. The one EVOIXMR and I are talking about is a US map with all the states that tracks where Droid owners are that have been updated or just choose to post their location...:icon_ devil:

Here is the map you are talking about Mongoose.
Droid updated around 1 am - Google Maps
I wanna know how do you add your location to it, like the others have.

I've tried My location, layers, etc. and nothing i do adds my location to that map. any help from the google map gurus would be appreciated.

Just realized my contacts were erased which also makes me mad, now I have to add every contact manually from my old phone.

Because of the update? I bet they are still there. Several people have had this happen. Go into contacts, hit menu button, select display options, choose gmail account, and put a check by "all other contacts"... see if they show up now.

Yea, it happened after the update. Checking that box fixed it though, thanks a lot. Good thing I didn't waste my time adding every contact manually from my old phone. :)

Take a look at Fix an error on Google Maps - Maps Help It appears you have to search for your location and then add it to the map.

Got my update last night...
Awoke this AM with the message... Said OK to reboot and install... verything worked great. no issues. Seems a bit faster.. and so it goes...

Click on "edit" upper left, then click on the blue teardrop icon and drag it to your location then you can fill in the dialog box that appears. Lastly click save and done.

Thanks OMNI, that did it..

Man...I feel stupid. The instructions on how to do this were in the tutorial all along....and they were good instructyions too. Anyway..'tis done. Thanks all for helping out an "old fart"...Now, I have to take the phone in and get it exchanged because the screen appears to be coming loose...driving me nuts on a $200 product.:icon_ devil:

My screen on bottom left corner scoots over a little if pressed, top stays, is anyone else's loose? If so I'm going for a swap

Yeah you are always going to have some sort of looseness of the screen since the screen SLIDES open. It is meant to move and the more you use it, there is more of a chance that it will be a little loose. Mine moves a bit but its not enough to cause an issue.

Sorry....that should be POLLS. There's a whole thread in there on the specific subject. I wouldn't be to worried about it though. The above comments are pretty much right on the money. :icon_ devil:

Probably a question that has already been asked here but im not reading through 98 pages of posts lol....I updated mine manually.....does that mean I won't get an OTA update? Didn't know if there was going to be any differences in the manual update and the OTA update. Anyone who can help I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Nathan
