As for the receipt scanned in here by xlivewire7x, we also had a user on our forums do the same thing back on 10/27, and again it was from a "premium" re-seller, not a VZW corporate store. As SSHGuru says, they can print whatever they want off and charge you for it. It's not a true pre-order, and there's no real indication of an availability date.

So has anyone else tried going to a non coporate store? I have a coporate one and a celluar connection one n my area. I can go to both tomorrow and see what they say. The receipt looks real legit btw.

I think hes saying that its an outside company that doesnt have anything to do with VZ. They took his preorder, but only saying when it comes out we will mail it to you. Its not out, the retailer has no control, they can only send him the phone when they can...which isn't til Vz officially releases it. They will honor it, but its not a true preorder becuase it has nothing to do with VZ. The retailer is no different than us, waiting for it to come out. They will just sell the devices and not keep them. make sense?

Yeah, exactly. I have no doubt as to the authenticity of the receipt and I highly doubt a store is going to try to screw someone when the phone finally gets announced, but unfortunately the receipt is no indication of when the real release date is coming.

Man I hate those premium reseller/retailer Verizon stores. I don't know if I walked into a Quik-E Mart or a Verizon store. All they need to do is start selling bootleg DVDs, cheesy perfumes, fake watches, condoms, 40oz of King Cobra and disposable razors. I'll stick to the official Corporate stores, thanks

Also, we have someone who works at a corporate VZW store and he said that it will be shipped to stores on the 25th so the 28th release sounds good about now.

I wouldn't call the stores bad, im a mom and pop store liker but IMO i stick to offical VZ stores. Its confusing enough to deal with just Verizons TOS.

In fact the sub store could sell you a Nexus as well and just buy one from next door when they come out.
