Man we'll never get the leaked GB for our D2G phones. I wish all this circus would have happened after the D2G leak

Okay, so while this thread has taken a funny twist, I'd like to see if I can summarize the last few pages of twitter-fest:

According to P3Droid, "something" is going to happen "this week" or "any day now."

Is that a reasonable assumption and fair representation of what he is saying? That's good. That's a start. Now we have something tangible to gauge. If nothing happens this week, hopefully this will all be past us.

Now, what could that "something" be? A security to stop unauthorized tethering? Is that what this is all about? If Verizon does something tangible this week, and all it is is something to stop unauthorized tethering, and that had the Android community in an uproar worried that custom ROMs and hacking were about to go the way of the do-do bird, I'm going to seriously be disappointed in the community as a whole.

Save the doom-and-gloom politicking for the 2012 elections. Last week Android was no longer going to be "open source", and now this. Sheesh.

You are probably right, I can imagine the lawsuits when someone needs to call 911 and they can't because their phone was turned off by the carrier without warning.

Phone will always be able to dial out 911 regardless......

I can't believe this thread is still going hahhahaha. What the heck is happening?!!

it's slow, no new phones being released anytime soon. No new news on Gingerbread, what else are we gonna do??? haha

Ok now THIS makes total sense. This thread is unreal hahahahaha
