Well, insurance company is giving me what I paid for all my stereo equipment and electronics. But they are only giving me $400 for the $2800 transmission I put in 5k miles ago... argh...

Don't let em do that.. call Austin... you have a number in your insurance package that is for that insurance problems... I would've called it on gmac had I known about it.. but I'm telling you now... look in your insurance papers... buried towards the back... there's a number to Austin for problems like this... they should pay most of that 2800...

Agreed on them giving most of the $2.8k for the transmission. $400 only, yikes... Good luck man! On the bright side, you got paid fully for the other crap. Keep on pushing towards getting more money at least.

You know how some people test to see if spaghetti is ready? They throw some against the wall to see what sticks. That is what the insurance company is doing. If their offer sticks, you're done. If you complain more loudly, they will cave and give you more on the claim. Don't be afraid to go to town on their Facebook/Twitter pages. Bad pr is not good.
