My research concluded that the first smart phone was the Abacus One, had commode hardware later referred as commodore due to translation glitches. Ran on the A&T (the other T came later) network, consisting of two dodo birds flying back and forth, much as it is done today.

I thought they used pigeons... hmm. Good to know
