Planning to get the Droid Razr Maxx

I just ordered the Razr Maxx last with the bogo since my wife and I are both due the upgrades. I am coming from the droid x and she has the incredible so we are both excited to get these new phones. I hope they are good as they are made out to be. I love my droid x so this will be a big test..I'll let you guys know what I think when I get them later this week...

How did you get out the door at that price. Mine was 350.73?????

My $50 NE2 loyalty credit brought the price down to $249.99 + $12.50 = $262.49. My corporate discount also gave a $50 credit but they would not combine it with the loyalty credit, overall I'm still pleased with the price!!!

Mine was $350 and change too. They didn't charge him sales tax for some reason. They have to charge tax on the retail value of the phones and not the discounted price. I don't know how he got away with it, but good for him...I just wish I got that deal.

On the back of the MAXX, there is a pin hole reset button, like alot of electronics. I got my MAXX a couple days ago, and I will will you for a guy who goes though a battery like a fat kid through a box of oreos, the battery is awesome!

Best buy does not have the MAXX only the normal RAZR. Verizon is the only local place you can get one right now.

That's what I wanted to hear on the battery, that it's hard to drain. On my Incredible, I can easily drain it within a few hours of use.

I may have to go to Best Buy to get it. They are offering the $50 gift card there, might be my best bet. At this point, the only question is if I buy it now or wait until the price drops. I might want to buy it now, just because if I wait, the price will drop at the same time that the next great phone comes out.

This was going to be my big purchase with my tax refund this year, but I haven't got that in yet. I guess I could put it on the credit card and just pay it off when the refund comes in.

Fyi there is no reset button on the Maxx that hole in the back is a second microphone, so I wouldn't suggest putting a pin in it. If your Razr or Maxx locks up all u have to do is push and hold the volume down button for 5-10 seconds and it will reset.

For future reference....there are 3 mics on the RAZR: front bottom for your mouth, back at the top and bottom for noise cancellation. They all should also be able to be used when recording videos too; different scenes. I dont have my RAZR right now to know what they are. Thats one thing Moto did starting with the Droid X1 that I liked....the extra mics. Just remember this post I made a few months ago:

We don't pay tax on the full retail price in Virginia, we pay tax on the discounted price. The sales tax was $12.50

I am beyond excited...dancedroid.my MAXX should arrive on Thursday (I'll be on the road so I won't get it until FRiday or Saturday) but the dream of an Android phone with a battery that lasts more than 8 to 10 hours.... I'm drooling... Please don't disappoint.

Being tethered to a mobile device for power, is not an option..... So I've settled for less satisfying devices just to get through a day...have my dreams been answered!!!????

Your dreams have been answered. This thing is awesome. 15+ hours, fairly normal, steady use through the day, and have 50% left. Have it on 3g only.

You won't be disappointed.

Update!
Picked up my Razr from Fed Ex just moments before they closed.

Activated..:icon_ banana: and started loading stuff. I eventually fell asleep (just returned from a business road trip ...literally road...driving)

Woke up this morning at 5:30am, took it off the charger and played with it continuously (downloading, updating etc) until about 1:00pm. I was at 60% of my battery. Meanwhile I had to charge my Bionic just to keep up. This is VERY promising.

Tomorrow will be another heavy use day then Monday will be close to normal (still will be traveling)...

So far - I'm thrilled...:icon_ lala:

And the Smart Actions is awesome. I use to use Timerriffic but this is better....
