Hope everyone in Cali is recovering from the flooding. Enjoy the storm system down near the panhandle of FL but hope nothing bad comes from it. Be safe with the weather ya'll

Wow semper beautiful pics remind me of the nc mountains. Cant believe some of the scenery there. The first picture looks fun for ridin and the fourth pic looks as if you could do some major huntin in there. The second, third, and fifth look like pics you see in frames. Nice spot even if it's just for chillin

I wish I could get a truck back there and down that hill but if you look at the track picture, that's half way to that hill to the bottom. Before that is a train bridge over a creek which has bent track on the inside to keep vehicles out ( you can't get across unless your centered and the bent track traps tires by wedging them) and you have to pass through private businesses lots. Its a great area,I really should take up fishing again now that I look back at those pics lol. All pics were taken with my D1 btw.

That's a trip to the tropics right now.
You are correct. 50° is t-shirts weather here in Michigan. Its funny, you know that some one is from out of state when they are wearing a jacket in that weather. Right now its a nice 23° out, I can at least make it out to the end of my drive and back in a t-shirt. Its not to cold for January. On a cold day with wind chill it can easily real like 0° out.

Looks like someone has been busy shoveling snow in those pics up there and yea QS I feel you on those windchills up in Boone, nc if you have a front comin through the windchills can reach subzero temps. With a normal day bringing temps in the teens and single digits all day. Not to bad here in the hometown of rocky mount, nc usually doesn't get much below 15 in the lows with windchills reaching the coldest of about 5 and thaw at night. Normal day here is 30s and not really too much colder than that with windchills
