not so much of a weather shot but we were all sitting outside tonight watching the football game and i saw the nice clear moon so i figured id get a shot of it....

for those in photography it was shot with a

f/5.6
1/320 of a second exposure.

Wow garrett that's an amazing shot. You must love that camera. Hardly ever see any goof shot of the moon especially with that much detail.

As for me its just a rainy day on the interstate headin to Raleigh to pick up a front bumper for my '97 Tahoe. Ill prolly never bring myself to sell that truck. Its been so good to me (knock on wood). Hope everyone is doin good

yeah im pleased with that lens even though it is waaay overpriced.... im able to get shots of the moon like that on a pretty regular basis down here on any clear night.

to stay on topic it rained this morning but warmed up to 76 degrees today for a nice afternoon.

We're finally going to see some cold weather.

Yeah it has been warmer here then I like this time of year, believe it or not I love winter. Would looooooove some snow but don't see it happening soon unfortunately :frown:

We had some nice weather this weekend. So we went looking for some fishing holes.

@chevy....hi there...Happy New Year......Maybe weather bug has a bug (lol)....We haven't had any snow here in Ct till today (2") since that freaky Halloween week one when we had no power for 10 days. Missing the snow here this winter. Have only dryness when it's cold and only precipitation happens when it's warm. If we don't get lots of snow in the next few weeks, we'll probably have a record low snow total this winter. Well let you know! Be well y'all ;-)

@garret: Looks like NC is scheduled for a warm up this coming Monday and Tuesday. Highs of 69 and 72. I guess since we had an El Nino year last year and got hammered with snow this year we will have a La Nina year with warmer temps and not quite as much precipitation. Warmer weather does mean the landscaping business will pick up finally

@CJM: Wow man nice hole to spend a day fishing in. I have only found a few like that around here. Also I hope y'all didn't have any damage with those storms that rolled through yesterday. Looks like there was a tornado in extreme SW Mississippi yesterday. Have any luck with the fish?

@Red: Happy New Year to you too! I believe ole weather bug had quite a bug at 126 degrees lol. Y'all have quite a bit of lake effect snow off to the NW. Doubt it will make it to you but it is sure cold enough to snow isn't it? I dont think East NC will see much snow this year at all. Wish we would though. I split 5 chords of wood so far this winter and havent hardly burned through 1 haha. Anyway hope y'all are doing good also.

@chevy..doing fine! Just had 4 inches of snow this past fri into sat, so I don't feel so deprived. Made my mom a small snowman on her front porch so she could see it from her wheelchair in the doorway. She lives with us since last winter and we have fun looking out the window to see what's outside that we can talk about. We put in a large picture window that has a nice view of the front yard and we can see the birds during the warm months as they hatch their eggs in the crabapple tree in front. So keep using that wood and enjoying the fire. Five cords...you must have gotten lots of muscles from that! Have a great day...Enjoy the superbowl! Who do you root for? Lots of choices for New England fans this year.....go Giants!DancingNexus

@CJ: sounds like my luck most of the time haha. I must agree with JSM though. I always do enjoy the time in the outdoors

@Red: I'll have to remember to get a pic of my most recent stack of wood. I havent yet stack and covered it but its just in a rough pile from splitting. I must say I have taken my share of Tylenol this winter for my lower back haha. Also I did see that low pressure system heading y'alls way. I know its a good feeling to finally see a little more snow. That was nice thing to do for your mom and major props go to you and your family for looking after her and not putting her in one of those god awful nursing homes. As for the superbowl I am a Panthers Fan always have been since I was little and if I ever get asked what out of state team do you like? my reply would be the ATL Falcons. Anyway I have kinda been rooting for the 49'ers to win the superbowl this year sine the Panthers obviously didn't make it haha. The 49'ers haven't made and won the superbowl in quite some time. If the 49'ers loose the game that is on now then I hope the Giants win the superbowl. I have seen the Patriots win a few times
