PSX4Droid => General Discussion

Yeah if in the far future an Androphone will be able to run PS2 games I will be forced to buy it. (FFX :rockon: )

PS2 emulators can barely be ran on computers that are top of the line. All the graphics are software emulated and not used by the graphics card. I will doubt that we will see a working PS2 emulator on a phone for at least a few more years.

I'm able to run Wii games at 1080p with 30+ fps on a 5 year old computer. PS2 emulators aren't that big a deal--they'll come eventually, just not on a Droid.

Yeah PS2 on my computer plays fine but definitely not "perfect"

Kingdom Hearts for example plays fine but is just tad slow (not really slow at all but slow enough to not play the whole game)

But not going to lie, the cutscenes for any emulated game is just perfect though. But that's not saying much since you're not playing the cutscenes lmao

Hey sorry i haven't pla ed anymore news but the truth is my yong has turned development over to zodttd. I will post more info once i hear it which will be later tonight or tomorrow

=D work is really being made then!

Yeah! It says that games are near 60 fps, but slightly under. That's impressive!

Hopefully he gets rid of the ugly Nesoid/SNESoid interface because they graphics are really ugly. I also hope he names it something that DOESN'T end in -oid. It was original about a year ago, now these app names are redundant and annoying. He should just called it PSXandroid, or something.

Hey this isn't much news but it does give some help. Well the ui is done by yong and the emulators core is being worked on by zodttd

I. Can. Not. Wait.

Thanks for the news maxohkc.
Also, if its only running at just below 60FPS in an early early early stage of development, we can tell of good things to come.
(This is on the Nexus One by the way, the phone which our droid outperform in games)
