Yong told me basically that they are still working on the phone crashing problem and hasn't been able to fix it. yes this does suck but he states that they will be preparing for release. Also like mustang said do not email him i have talked to yong for around six months. And for the most part mustang and I have done a great job of keeping you guys in the loop. This is being worked on by two developers. Now its Yong has it and is trying to fix a couple of crashes. Like i said you guys have waited very patiently even though the release dates i have given you haven't been right. At first it was before june then it was switched to the end of june and now its this week. I am sorry once again for this. So just wait please patiently like you have before the more you complain isn't going to make the emulator appear so just chill.

This is just my opinion..... However..........
If the program is crashing on one specific device (a device that is somewhat obscure compared to the major players) then the program should be released, period. Alot of apps are released to the marketplace, with a very clear note that the app doesn't work on a specific device. This should be no different. I am all for having things work across the board before release, but this is ridiculous. Considering the Legend isn't even a "high end" handset and probably won't perform as well as other devices running the emu, why invest tons of time and effort into a "fix" and keep everyone else waiting? I could see the thinking if it were the Incredible or the DROID that was crashing, but the Legend? C'mon, now.

Yeah, I don't think its bad that yong wants to please everyone. It shows that he cares about all the people who have been waiting the same amount of time for this with less high end phones as us with higher end phones, they all want a shot at trying something that has never been done on the android platform before as well, so I have no problem waiting an extra week since I don't want to just serve my own selfish needs, this will be something the entire android community will enjoy.

You know I dont let this get to me much. Dont get me wrong, I really want this emulator but theres a few reasons why Im not screaming and getting torches out yet.
1) Ive found a site but ended up with BIN and CUE files of the games I want. I need to search more.
2) I could use my own games but as I said, theyre in Storage and wont be out for a good time to come.
3) I realize I wouldnt play this emulator much. Due to getting txts, trying to conserve battery and even just plain playing my own PS3, I more than likely wont play it often. The Droid has shoddy battery life as is. I barely use it and I have to charge it once a day. I also travel on occasion, so I cant afford to have my phone just die on me while Im traveling. For this very reason I play very little games on the Droid.
I do want this PSX emulator and will be happy to get it. I just know its not really going to be any sweat off my back if I get it now or Christmas of 2011. Theres other games on the Droid, not many but still there are others. And really I do alot more reading on mine than game playing.
Oh, and on topic about him working to release it on all the phones, more power to him. I can appreciate him trying to do it right the first time and trying to perfect it while hes at it.

What the hell is up with you guys! I've been following this thread since page and I'm perfectly satisfied with the wait! I've got a list of 7 rpg games I want to play and once out my social life will be nil...

How are people contacting yongzh? I have a question aboud SNESoid\Gameboid regarding bluetooth devices.
I have the freedom pro keyboard paired with my EVO. Using the device drives, I can type on my EVO using the keyboard. When I open the emulator (SNESoid) I can map controls to the keyboard. I have up, left, down, right mapped to the arrow keys, A,B,Y,X,Start and select also mapped. The keyboard works just fine here.
However, once I open a game, the keyboard input no longer works. My key presses dont register. How come it works when mapping keys but not in-game?

I signed up because I have been following this thread since about page 30. I own the droid incredible and love it. The incredible is my first droid and I'm never switching as long as I have the freedom and functionality this device offers.
Now that I have that off my chest I want to say a couple of things.
1. No one here has the right to tell anyone else not to contact a software dev because no matter how much you think you are special or their friend... at the end of the day you are the same as the rest of us, a customer.
2. The information provided by the people who supposedly have steady contact with the devs has not only been inaccurate, its been flat out wrong with little to no information being correct.
3. We are all excited about this and for good reason. I just pray it works well and while anxious and slightly annoyed by the delays I can make it with all of the emulators I've purchased from them.
All in all I would just basically like to say that telling people to shut up and chill and then turn around and tell them they need to be more mature is kind of ridiculous. any special info anyone provides in this forum should be taken with a grain of salt and overall you will all be much happier.
PS- We all know Xenogears is the best PS1 game of all time.

Well no, it's not pointless. How is it different from the 9/10 posts of people saying how excited they are to play _______(insert game)
He's signed up because he strongly feels that some members are acting like dictators. I know what he was saying, since a page or 2 ago I was told off (LOL!) for emailing a dev.
Props to Mustang who actually got Zod to develop these apps for Android... Don't let that go unnoticed.
But when people begin to get agro when someone reports news and it "has already been mentioned" (weeks ago...) it makes me not want to read the forum. Don't get so attached. It's a forum for god's sake.
Not trying to flame, but just venting. When I email Yong next week (if the emulator is not yet released) and I get a reply, I don't think I will post it here. Not a selfish act, it just won't be worth getting attacked for trying to help.
