Yeah, several people were talking about that solving their issues.
I tried it but it didn't fix it (gonna try it again, doubt it will work though).

Well, mine doesn't force close but when I try to edit the contact it's just empty. It doesn't show any info or anything so I don't know haha. I also have the unofficial mod flashed so that might be why I'm not getting fcs

I did a full wipe and I'm using the modded version by JRizzill, and I deleted the TelocationProvider.apk and fixed permissions. No force closes, and the contact edit works perfectly for me. The only issue I have, is the theme manager seems more clunky this time. It was working so well the last few versions, now not all the themes load correctly. The iPhone theme just reverts everything back to stock, and some of the other themes leave some of the icons unthemed.
All of that is stuff I'm sure will get hammered out though. So far this is my favorite MIUI build.

Same here! Haven't flashed any themes though. This new extension for themes and myself have not been getting along too great haha.
It takes longer for the themes to take effect with the new system. Also the icons might not work with older versions of the themes because there is a new layout to follow when setting up themes. All of the icons go in 1 folder where they use to be in 2 folders in the old system.
do you have 7 zip?

Yeah, it will. Here is a hd pic (
) of what you need to do after highlighting all of the folders, right clicking and go to 7 zip and choose add to archive:

Haha did you just make that? But thank you. I haven't had to create an archive with 7-zip yet so some visual definitely makes the process that much easier. Haha another question, when installing these, should I keep them as .zip or back to .mtz? I don't want to have unthemed icons so I'm hoping I can just edit the themes I like and place everything correctly, etc. Maps works great now too by the way. Been out of the loop lately due to work so I'm falling behind:icon_eek:
Its the telelocation.apk not the TelocationProvider apk that you need to delete. I deleted the telelocation.apk from the zip and flashed it over the 12.18 beta and everything works fine.
Yeah i just made that with paint lol. I figured that more people would be asking this question so I went ahead and made it. Leave the themes in the mtz format. In the new theming system .zip themes show up as old themes and .mtz dont say anything. Also there is a different format for how you set up themes. Download Murdered out v4 and look at how I set it up. All of the icons go in the icons folder and there are a few more changes. Glad you were able to get the maps workin.

Oh, okay. I knew there was a new format but I didn't think that was the reason every one of my themes said "old version". They're deleted now though anyway. Last time I tried to install the .mtz and it wasn't working for me at all. Maybe it's because I hadn't unzipped it with 7-zip(if that's required for only installing) and it was the whole roll up rather than just one theme at a time but I could open it to get to the different ones. The .mtz thing is a tad confusing haha. And I'll definitely check that out. I might just use your theme. I like it and have taken some of the icons from it for SMS Unread Count haha.Haha nice
Yeah it was confusing at first trying to set up the new themes. Luckily I found one already set up and i had to ask jamezelle and whiskeycoke on the miui irc about the .mtz format because i had no clue about them lol. 7 zip seems to be the best tool ive found that the miui theming system likes. I used to just send the files to a compressed zip file and when you would load them it would not reboot the phones, but once i switched to using 7 zip everything worked fine. Im glad you like it. Ive made a lot of changes to it since the earlier versions, mainly blackening out a lot of the apps. Also the .mtz themes take longer to load in the new system, so give them a few minutes to load before you cancel loading them.
