I didn't wipe coming from the last update .. had no FCes for about a day then decided to play with fonts and bootlooped my phone .. so I started over. Wiped and reloaded the ROM and now I get FCes .. even after deleting the apk and fixing permissions ..

try installing 12.18, then JRizzill's mod, then delete the .apk. thats what i did. just flashed 12.18 for the first time about an hour ago and i havent had a problem yet.

on another note, can we backup screen layouts with this version?

The only thing I would add is to run the "fix permissions" tool from Rom Manager, then reboot after deleting the APK. May not be necessary, but some folks have had to do it, like me.

That combo has been running error free for me for about 18 hours now. Currently trying to kill the battery so I can recharge and wipe the battery stats.

No, I know that its *228+. Im actually just now putting the rom on my phone. I was just curious as to whether people who had it running smoothly wiped or not.

If someone asks a question, its to be helpful, not to put you down. We all overlook things from time to time, so an obvious question can sometimes help. I tried pulling a few of the new apks out and putting them in the last build. File explorer half worked, miui music works fine, theme downloader worked but the new installer didn't. Figured the themes that got downloaded wouldn't work with the old theme manager but I didn't try them. So I'm running 12.11 with the new miui music app.

F/C Problems solved for me on Miui 12.18

I posted this in another thread. I still see the questions though. Just to clarify, what worked for me to help others out.

I downloaded the Miui 12.18 and tried to remove /system/app/TelocationProvider.apk. Did fix permissions and reboot didnt work. I then downloaded the Miui 12.18 Mod. Same problem. I had the force close/acorn error. I tried to remove /system/app/TelocationProvider.apk and did fix permissions and rebooted. Didn't work. Finally, I used root explorer and I did what Mikdav1 said in a post.

He mentioned to changed the name from TelocationProvider.apk to TelocationProvider.apk.bak and all my problems have been resolved." I learned that from Mikdav1.

Thanks to everyone who put their hard work into the Miui Rom. Love it. dancedroid

my bad guys, poor word choice on my part especially for this forum. I apologize if I offended anyone as that was not the intention.

Anyways, I'm at a standstill here with my issue of GPS not functioning. Tried a chevy kernel and it still will not let me use navigation nor pinpoint my location accurately. :icon_evil:

Well I finally attempted to install 12.18 last night after force-closing constantly when it was released. I just used winrar on my laptop to take the tele app out of the Rom before I installed it, and then as soon as I came to the welcome screen I loaded up Jrizzills mod, and then fixed permissions when I got Rom manager loaded up. Everything worked perfect, no force closes at all. That was about almost midnight last night. Got everything synced up and all in order and all my folders set up. Then in a last minute stroke of brilliance I tried to install the 12.11 fly-in transition zip thinking it would work. Boy was I wrong. Boot-loop city!! lol!! So, I had to start all over again. Got to bed by a little after 1:00 am eastern time. Gonna be dragging today!! lol!!

My question is, are there any transition mods for 12.18? I haven't seen any.

Thanks to Jamezelle, MetiCkone and Jrizzill for all their hard work. Nothing beats MIUI!!

not really a huge issue but since i installed 12.18, my setcpu doesnt display temperatures at all. trying to find the cause of it
