[TOOLS] R3L3AS3DRoot and 43V3R root for the BIONIC v2.1

Just do a battery pull and start over. Should fix it

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

I did a battery pull ... waited 15 mins and all I get is this error:

"fastboot" is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Can you help ... btw ... at the top of the fastboot menu on the phone it says AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (flash failure)"

It still says ... battery ok ... ok to program ... Connect USB etc, but I keep getting the above error???

Can anyone help???

BTW ... the phone will NOT turn on now ... all I get when I hit the power button is the BIG RED M with Dual Core Technology and it sticks???

I had the same problem thus is what I did..
1. Reinstalled pre-release moto drivers with bionic unplugged..
2. Plugged bionic in usb, clicked PC mode.
3. Let the drivers settle
4. Select mass storage mode
5. Let divers settle
6. Click charge only
7.check USB debugging and screen on while charging.
8. Let drivers settle
9. Rebooted PC
10. Run forever root program with out phone plugged in until it says press any key..

Had this problem with two replacement bionics.. Don't know which step actually works, but once I do this..works every time. Infact Friday was when I got another replacement and did these steps.

I'm making progress but still no root. Took these steps and this time it attempted root and installed superuser; however, root is not actually there. Here is a screenshot of the errors. I'd really appreciate any help with this!

make sure you have the R3L3AS3DRoot program and files all in the same folder. Reinstall the moto drivers reboot computer put phone in fastboot mode and run option 1.

This may seem like a stupid suggestion, but try charging the phone for a while (a couple of hours), turned off and then retry.

Android meets caveman...

 I am really REALLY new to these smart phones. I am OK with electronics in general but I got a problem! I need to tether my phone. I tried 43V3R Root a Bionic and it is just not working! I watched youtube videos, I followed steps in here...nothing. Interesting thing thou, the very firs time I tried it it DID work. I went on line for a few minutes and than it disconnected and never connected again. It also never USB tethered. I tried to convert it back to stock, didn't happened. I downloaded the additional file it told me to, prerelease 64 but it is still <waiting for devise> If I Factory Reset it will it help to get it back to stock and try it again? I really need to tether since I just canceled my Sprint Air Card. Thanks

There are several threads in xda about Reverse tethering.

Problem is vzw can track now. Its an additional service provided by vzw.
Just pay for it.. its only 30 a month.

If you come to my office and rent an escalade and ask to tow a boat.. I'm going to charge you extra, because of the additional wear and tear from towing.

Tethering does add additional strain to the network.. There is not some magical Lte fairy who just gives endless lte.. No!!! more people using the network the more bandwith being used (cis121 folks).. If you return my escalade... and its easy to tell if you towed.. Ball and receiver will leave small scratches.. I will Bill said customer for complete replacement of the whole rear bumper assembly and safety inspection all cause said buyer was a cheap and didn't buy the additional towing charge of 29.99..

VZW receives no money for the additional use, and we suffer as customers.. additional money gets more funds to improve the technology in our beloved ferocious LTE!! BA 101 folks

As should VZW charge you!! for any unauthorized use of tethering by the poor! At full cost per MB used.. Not some package deal you refused to buy.
