RadioTime for android

RadioTime,

I wanted to listen KZNE 1150am College Station TX and I saw on your website that it was available, but when I downloaed the app and searched, it wasn't available. What Gives?

It's an AAC stream, which he have not yet figured out how to support consistently.

Will Flash support on Android help with some of the format issues?

I'm betting it will. While I'm here, +10000 to radiotime, been using it almost nonstop since I bought it, I even put it next to my bed and listen to the radio while I am going to sleep. Don't know if this is intentional or not but when I wake up it has usually stopped itself, no power issues or anything, just has the stream paused for me, and I just hit play, and it starts giving me the morning news. I love radiotime!!

Thanks for the app it is working great so far.

I have one request, how about a "Now Playing", or something similar, in the notification bar. I would like to be able to go out of RadioTime and do other stuff, but have a quick shortcut back if I need to pause or change the station.

I was going to buy this but I am waiting to see the Wunderradio app that is coming soon. Basically, whomever will find away to add Clear Channel stations is whom I am going with. Wunderradio's iPhone app already does.

I love the interphase of Radio time and it is a good price. I am still holding out though...

Iheartradio does clearchannel

To each his/her own. I love the fact that RadioTime has nothing to do with Clear Channel.

+1

10 char..

A little shoutout to the folks from RadioTime, btw. Although they don't carry any of the Clear Channel stations, their website FAQ points the reader to IHeartRadio for that content. Assuming that Clear Channel doesn't own both services, it's noteworthy that RadioTime explicitly says where a user can find a competitor.

You sir are correct, but only partly, iheartradio isn't a real competitor, as they provide what Radiotime does not, Clear Channel stations. So if you really look at it, Radiotime is the fine french cuisine, and iheartradio would be the wine that makes that meal complete, each app provides what the other is missing...

Don't really need Shoutcast, or at least I don't think so, because I dont even know what is. What I would really love is some sort of app like Radiotime where I can listen to my local stations as well as have it save the stream as an mp3 on my phone.

Qwik - they have a trial of something called Radiotime Red Button for the PC that allows you to record from a stream. If you want it long term you have to pay for it, but it worked quite well from what I could tell.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but I would like to give Radiotime some credit for continuing to be an awesome app.

I emailed them about two weeks ago regarding a local radio station that was not on their app. This is an AM station only broadcasts in a 5-10 mile range, and mainly is used to broadcast local high school basketball games. I happen to have a family member who plays for the local high school team, so I emailed them to see if the station could be added. Within a day, the station was added and I was able to listen to his games.

That's some great customer service!

I was also able to listen to the Duke/Butler national championship game last night when I was stuck at work. Inside my big building, I couldn't get an FM signal of the station that broadcasts Duke games, so Radiotime was a lifesaver! I had to dig through about 6-7 stations to find it (technically, I don't believe radio stations are supposed to stream the games, so most put on alt programming or turn their signal off), but I did find it!
