Razr 4G sucks!!!

Can't wait to get home - new RAZRz are on the porch, one for the wife and one for me. Together we'll have 8G !!!

Hopefully it works in my office/dungeon.

At home, the 4G was blinking on and off, but mostly 3G - disappointing since my wifi isn't all that speedy - I may be in a coverage border zone.

At work, 4G works at fairly well, and much better than the ludicrous 3G "speeds" I used to get (<100Kb downloads at best). My office is in the basement/ground floor of a 90+ y/o building with what appears to be 2.5' thick brick/concrete foundation walls. In the event of a nuclear war I'd survive along with the cockroaches. I do have a window that's at ground level. Being closer to the window got the best DL speed at speedtest.net. When I first fired it up I only got 3G, but when I plugged in the charger it jumped to 4G, yet only at 2 bars.

My speeds so far:

652k d, 418k u
1,086k d, 2,071k u
6,930k d, 2,033k u (window)
1,724k d, 632k u
2,171k d, 594k u

On the road to work about a 1/4 mile away I got 17Mb down, 3.7Mb up and at one point on my drive at the intersection of a major state highway and the Interstate I got 44Mb down and 12Mb up!!!

Moral of the story - If I were homeless and living under an overpass I'd get blazing fast download speeds all the time.

i Have pretty good 4G coverage in Daytona Beach. My only complaint is that it takes a godawful amount of time to switch between 3G and 4G. But downloading apps etc i usually get 700 Mbps download speeds which is wicked awesome for the big ones (i have unlimited data still)

After the recent IT'S I'm pleased with my RAZR 4G, still disconnects but not as much. I'm happy.

I am pulling 4G in areas I could barely get 3G with my Gnex. In fact I pick it up about 5 miles further out thar I was before. I even get in inside my work. I struggled to get any data at all inside with my Gnex. Says alot for Moto radios.

Double check in keyboard setting, see if auto-correct is checked ... I run it manual, just gotta pick the word from list... Also if you notice a word underlined with dots long press/select word and it allows you to go back and correct, even after a few lines of type.

Outrageous how horrid the service is. Razr is essentially a 3G phone. Ughhh!!!

Really? 3G phone? Nope. Not mine. Now I live in a 3G area, but after I drive 5 miles south just north of Denton, TX, I hit 4G land and never loose it. I've got speeds anywhere from 15MB to 22MB. I have both, the Maxx and Razr. Both phones rock in 4G land.
