Razr vs Nexus.....and the BIAS reviews start!

Razr hands down is better then the nexus the nexus has one thing going for it and that's ice cream sandwich. 2 months from now moto will push 4.1 or 4.2 out. The nexus could have better specs. But the Razr has more going then the nexus in my opinion. Antenna wise moto has a better antenna they have it set up so when your about to drop a call.the phone uses more battery to strengthen the signal.

Nexus: diehard, fanboy, nerd phone... ;P

To all you razr fans. How's that removable battery, on screen buttons, nfc, unlocked bootloader, and ICS treating you? Oh, nvm... Those are nexus things, sorry. ;)

Swyped and sent through the interwebz directly to you from somewhere and some device that doesn't concern you!

Still feeling bionic with update around the corner... Feel even better that I didn't wait... Rzr just felt awkward in my hands... To each his own
May not be able to resist Asus though in February

Removable battery.....not an issue. Not yet anyway. Also not an issue for ppl with Tablets....:happy3: Removable storage for me right now is tho...:happy3:

On screen buttons? I actually miss the hard buttons from my Droid X1. I got a feeling its not gonna be that much different if I had a G Nex. IF on screen ones get in the way like capacitive ones....its a wash for playing games for me. :happy3:

NFC....would be nice to have an try out :happy3:

Bootloader...hasnt been an issue for me since the DX1....wont be one now...for me. I barely run custom ROMs on my Droid 1 as is. And put on a total one 1 on my DX1...:happy3: See, for me custom ROMs doesnt outweigh the overall ....phone....experience. Bootloader didnt matter when I got the DX1 and the Fascinate came out...doesnt matter now. And since for most custom ROMs I only really used and liked a few features....apps from the Market or XDA ftw...:happy3:

ICS....will be nice to have...when it comes.....also like whenever the G Nex comes....:happy3:

So for me NFC and ICS are the only things I like to have from the G Nex that you mentioned. Surprised you didnt mention the display...And since before ICS IMO stock Android on phones was too plain and boring...I actually like the custom UI's. Maybe ICS will finally change my opinion.

I've said this a few times already....forget the G Nex...I finally saw a Bionic the other day and spent some time with it.....very nice phone. I might wind up with all 3 at one point and wind up keeping 2, maybe... Only thing that would make me think of switching the RAZR to a Bionic is the battery and screen brightness, outdoor use. And since I plan on going the external battery pack route for a 3DS, Vita...I might as well use it for my smartphones too, removable battery phones too. iTrent sells a nice size one. So the screens side by side would be the kicker. And which would I like more. I have to say....after using Amoled...I dont think I can go back to LCD.

About bias....funny how to some ppl being thin is a knock against the RAZR....yet when the GS2 international came out.....thin was in.....and that was "the best Android phone evaaar!!!" I bet if the G Nex was as thin as the RAZR....it would be seen as a good thing to some ppl.

Idk why their is so much hype over a phone that will be out dated a week later. I'm sorry to say it another bionic. They will push this then 3 weeks later nexus 2 with a quad core or something like that.lol

I wouldn't say either phone is a winner. They both have their benefits and drawbacks. Personally, I dislike Samsung phones for several different reasons, that's why I went with the Razr. It's all personal preference.

One thing I will say is that a Moto phone will get a signal where Sammy won't. That is something I know first hand and is a problem as recent as the GSII, so I don't expect the GN to be any different.

It's like that with any phone and will be no different with the GN. The ONLY difference is that OS updates will come faster. The GN will be "outdated" as you put it as any other phone launching right now. I'm talking hardware wise.

Agree about Samsung vs. Moto phones and reception. So far its been that way before Android even came out. Dating back to a Moto E815 and Samsung u740...

And when those Tegra 3 phones start getting close to release date....you will hear folks saying the G Nex is "outdated" Its almost getting as bad as the PC market.

Lets not forget the fantastic plastic which Samsung uses for their phones....can't even drop it on your bed.....lol

My OG Droid was slowing down, acting erratic, and generally signalling that it was nearing the end of its life. I was planning to wait for the GN but I happened to stop into a Radio Shack and was pretty impressed with the Razr's design and solid feel. While reading and comparing specs between the Razr and GN, I realized that the Razr had some key advantages for me:

  1. Build quality
  2. Motorola radio
  3. Mass storage
There was also the lesser consideration that the Razr is available now and with a relatively proven OS. I want ICS as much as the next guy, but don't have to have it right away, especially in light of the previous considerations.

I've had the Razr for a few days now and it's a great evolutionary leap from the OG Droid. The battery has been better than expected, so far anyway.

I am sure the GN will be an awesome phone and I look forward to seeing it. I hope it is as good as it has been hyped to be. But I think the Razr will hold me for a while.

Lmao, really? Because from what I've seen, while plastic, the plastic is pretty durable. Plenty of tests on youtube showing off the durability of the Galaxy SII even.

The RAZRs and good phone, and so is the GN. Both have pros and cons. Who cares. Both will be "outdated" in january/feb. One difference is that the GN will receive updates sooner to keep up, while I don't see the RAZR getting a whole lot of dev support. But I could be wrong, the D3 ended up getting a lot of support.
