Reboot or freeze up issues

I had my first hard reboot.

I was turning on and off my wifi because my X wasn't connecting. I think it was because I was using the You Tube app.

A couple of notes. My battery is at 30%. I did load the zip file at the beginning of the thread. I also loaded the zip file provided by imoseyon. My phone is definitely snappier and I haven't noticed any sort of lag when putting it too sleep. The only thing that I have changed is the pulldown background.

Maybe this is just a one time thing. I hope it is.

Full reboot after soft reboot seems to help

I've noticed that if I immediately do a full reboot after one of the soft reboots occurs, I can go for days without issue. My last run was over 150 hours before I rebooted my phone of my own volition to fix my mobile banking app - the phone could have kept right on rolling.

In my intuitive "know-almost-nothing-about-android-code" opinion (read: the following could be total bs), the instability may be something getting loaded up incorrectly on boot. Because (correct me if I'm wrong) a soft reboot reboots the shell only, the problem persists after a soft reboot and so the phone will continue to have the problem, and continue soft rebooting/freezing. A full reboot may allow the source of the problem to load up correctly, thus allowing liberty to run stably.

Now, I don't know if any of that is true, I just know that since implementing my "full reboot after soft reboot" policy, the problem seems to disappear but occasionally resurfaces when I voluntarily reboot my phone for some other reason (app not working properly, etc). If the problem resurfaces, I full reboot again, and usually it's problem solved.

I was one of a minority of Droid X users who got random soft reboots on the stock 2.2.1 system 2.3.340 OTA from Motorola. I'd be interested to know how many of the people suffering from this issue also got 2.3.340 OTA soft reboots - the problem may not lie with Liberty, (at least, not since the patch in the OP, which I installed before discovering that a full reboot helped) it could be with the base code from Moto disagreeing with a percentage of Droid Xs.

Again, I could be way off base here, I don't know how much of Motorola's code remains in Liberty, if any.

I hope this is helpful!

I have been tweaking my voltages higher and higher. But, when I get a reboot my screen pops on with a, "market closed unexpectedly," error. Should this patch fix that?

These issue have been running for a long time now.
This raises an obvious question, has kejar/jrummy ABANDONED liberty.

Well I know I left liberty and came back to gummy! Its the best rom I've flashed yet. I couldn't stand the freezes with liberty.

I installed the update and it worked great for about week! No restarts or freezes. Then the restarts started back up again at least 3 times a day.
It looks like I'll be flashing another rom. It's too bad, because other than that, I loved this rom.

Well I moved to 3.4.2. After imoseyon's zip and freezing up bloats with TiBu, its a wonderful ROM. Highly stable havent got any random reboots or lags in weeks, quite fast (Linpack > 14 MFlops) Battery lasts more than 18hrs with moderate+ use. I cant ask anything else from ROM
