[Release]D1-MIUI-0.11.26.0

Running 0.11.26.0, stock everything, no themes. Wiped System, Boot, Data, SD-Ext, Cache, even the SD-Card when I installed it. So far it's a tiny bit choppy, although I'm comparing it to LFY v1.9 w/ Slayher 1.1Ghz kernel. Main issue is Speed Test app FC's always.

Battery Life?

Absolutely loving this build. Super fast and super smooth. I believe this to be the best one yet.

Only one question. Is anyone else having really short battery life issues? I'm down to 15% doing what I normally do. Typically can make it to 10pm (5:30pm here now) and be at 40% or more.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do!

OK, so I've decided to give 0.11.26 a go again; figured I'd give the ROM a fair shot even after the initial disappointments. Which by no means is directed to the D1-MIUI Team, you guys didn't drop the ball, the Chinese Dev's did, but it's to be expected since the Milestone flavor of MIUI is still in it's infancy.

I figured I'd edit the build.prop file to set default ringtones of my choice and I'll just deal with it till we get an official fix (I rarely switch ringtones all that often, but it bothers me not having the option so easily and freely do it). I've also settled on a Chevyno1 1Ghz LV kernel even though my phone and I prefer the Slayher 800Mhz kernel, but again, I'll just deal with it in the meantime.

So far, everything is running acceptably smooth; nice little changes here and there. The carrier logo has made a comeback in this version, and I must say it looks way more professional that it ever did on stock (it almost looks sexy!). We now have the choice to change between the newer MIUI menu's and the stock Android menu's (for those of you who wanted the stock menu's; I'll never understand why since I see the MIUI style ones being sexier!). One addition I did not like was the inclusion of an "OK" button to the USB toggle, I preferred it the way it was in 0.11.19; click on and off you go. The addition to the OK button just adds an necessary step IMO, so I hope they change it back to the way it was prior to 0.11.26.

I'm still in the process of setting everything up. I'm about to set up Apps2EXT and install my 250+ apps, and I'm hoping that any speed hacks the Chinese Dev's did to this ROM really shines after installing all my apps. Previous versions always had bad lag spikes with that many icons spanning 15 pages or so, even bad lag spikes with all the icons thrown into a folder, and of course, horrible lag scrolling through said folder. So here's to hoping there's a lot less lag.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Did you flash with 100% battery? If not you're going to need to recalibrate your battery. This has been discussed ad nauseam.

Great work as always guys. Really appreciate your hard work and brining this update out in such a timely fashion. One of the best ROMs I have used and I am so glad I can use the android style menus again. Also, to finally not have to deal with the stock launcher redrawing every time I return home!

Like I said, great work. Keep up the good work!

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but has anyone found an app on the market to get your notification light working?

i know the devs are aware of the notification problem, i just wanna make sure they know also, that setting a keyboard is a nother system setting that isnt holding. Im assuming its all system settings that dont hold? But keyboard is a major one as well.

Thanks

There's one called Color Trackball that I tested that works; it runs in the statusbar, but it's a pain choosing a color that the Droid can display from the limited pallet it has.

Thanks will try it out

This is from the user guide in the forum about notification light

(1) Your Droid isn’t notifying you of incoming email and text via LED. To correct this, go into Settings select System tab/Trackball settings – select something other than white, yellow, pink, or sapphire. Uncheck Pulse notification then recheck Pulse notification, if desired.

(2) Open MMS settings and selectTrackball color – select something other than white, yellow, pink, or sapphire. Change ringtone if desired.

It was left out in this release.

Oh wow, that's wierd. This ROM changed the way blocks are mounted. They're no longer mmcblk0p0, mmcblk0p2, etc.; now they are mtdblock0, mtdblock2, etc.

Going to have too look at my Apps2EXT see if I can get it working right.

:icon_eek:

Edit: NVM, I figured it out. Forgot that to use Apps2EXT, you need a kernel that supports mounting ext partitions on the SD (Chevyno1 kernels do not, Slayher kernels do). So it looks like I will be unable to use Apps2EXT on this build... Big deal breaker for me...

Tried using absolute system to do apps 2 sd? thats what I use. I'm not on this build yet though (gonna flash it when my battery builds back up) so I don't knot if it will work. Just a thought.
