[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

Wow, super fast and super smooth!

Upgraded from 2.0 with ICS theme and AD EX launcher and everything went flawless...

Flash too 4 minutes to boot :)

Where do I donate? Keep up the great work

Donation link in my signature. :-D

BTW, has anyone tried to use GoLauncher 2.59 or 2.60 beta with v3.0? I tried with 1.0 and was having issues all over the place. I would love to replace the stock blur home app, but want to get peoples opinions on which ones work and dont, and which ones they really like.

Expect donation from me by the end of the week...

People seem to use a mixture of home launchers from what ive run across..

Ive run ADW EX launcher on 2.0 and now 3.0 and they are nice and run very fast, a lot of people also use Go Launcher...

The only issue I have every had with the roms/my phone was when i flip to horizontal mode and slide between screens all it gets all messed up and glitchy..

When I installed it, it completely reset my GoLauncher.. so I went back to my old ROM with my nandroid backup. But then I decided to switch back and just set up everything again anew. No problems since.

My ADW EX Launcher loaded right up with all my settings too...

Cant say how fast and smooth this rom is running for me now..

Just with any wallpaper other than a live wallpaper in horizontal mode when i switch screens it gets real glitchy and looks like crap

Oh yes, I love it now! You should check out my latest theme in the "What does your steel Droid look like?" thread. Running awesome on this ROM!

Coming from rooted stock, this is running great.
I have a question though. Is there a way to calibrate the battery icon with the system? % is showing 97-98%, plug into charger (over night) and it says fully charged... and it wont go that last 2-3 %.
Can someone remind me how to calibrate them. I have tried: pulling battery while plugged in and mashing the power button, holding power button while unplugged and clearing battery stats. What am I missing?

Edit: I did see this forum: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/steel-droid-d3/175710-sd3-2-0-battery-issues-solved.html
But it didn't tell me anything new. Is there anything else?

I have been running go launcher 2.59 from day one having SDv1.0 and am now on v3.0, when I first flashed, I moved everything possible to my extSD card (including go launcher) and I have never had an issue with go launcher and your ROMs. It deffinetly runs the smoothest over v3.0.

When you did stats reset did you wait a couple days for it to actually re-calibrate?
There was also reported bugs with the last version of SD and the battery, mine was off for a few days and it just kinda fixed itself, -you just might be one of the unlucky ones on this version, but I would just sit tight on it and be patient and I might work itself out

I have not waited any period of time. I flashed it last night and noticed it this morning. I'll wait and see what happens.

Ok a issue I have been having since i started using this ROM, is I can't seem to download anything from the Market without getting a notification saying I need to connect to a Wi-Fi connection. Anyone know why this would?

Not sure what the problem could be...

But it could be your data settings to only download apps while on wifi or something simple like that is what I would check first

I was having a similar problem but mine wouldn't connect to the market after I flashed this rom. It told me my connection timed out a couple of times. It also wouldn't sync my contacts from my google account and when I used titanium backup to restore my apps it did all the ones I check except for 2. It said it restored them but when I looked in my app drawer they weren't there. Does any of this make sense?

Go to battery manager and change your data settings. It probably got set to Data saver and that why your getting the wifi only notifcation..

Beamed down from my Droid 3
