Does this blow away everything I have previously modified/messed up on my D3 (Metamorphs, etc)? Do I need to unroot/restore bloat/etc before doing so?

I would try to do the first steps but I am doing it on my Windows laptop (I can't stand windows) and it froze. Again.

And I'm not sure how to install .rar files. It shows lots of options, but every one costs money.

I tried a trial but if froze when installing.

Use winrar.

There is no way to get into Koush's recovery without access to the bootstrap app.

BTW the instructions clearly state you have to be on .890 before installing this ROM.
