Hi chevycam! I wanted to congratulate for the awesome rom! I just have a "little" problem. It doesn't recognise my SIM card. I have italian Vodafone (Gsm/umts) any time i try to enter to the mobile settings the rom crashes. any solution?

Might be. Let me load it up, and do some logcatting and see what I come up with. I have a lot of bugs to squash, so it may take a while.

I got releases out, just not for the D3. Lol. I'm having trouble building my D3 ROM. Build is broken. Looking into that tomorrow.

lol good things take time...i flashed 5.3 last night and the only problem i had was trying to get my device to boot when i went through the sbf but i found another file and it worked yours sent me into a bootloop. but im good now so i can wait

I have been running steel Droid d.3 for a while now, and its runs great, but I have noticed a few bugs that I haven't seen posted in the forums yet. LED Flashlight doesn't work... And the flash doesn't work with the camera either. Every once in a while right after I end a call, it reboots. Every once in a while I may receive or dial a call out and there will be no audio (bluetooth is turned off), need to reboot the phone and it works again.

I have no problems with the led flash not working in camera or flashlight mode and I experienced the issue of no audio with cm9 and aokp not sd5.3 yet but to fix it switch on airplane mode then switch back off its a lot quicker fix than rebooting the phone and I haven't had any reboots yet

Thanks I'll check out the Airplane mode switch.
I just tried to shoot the camera app with the flash on, then autoflash still nothing, then I tried using the LED flashlight, still no dice, then back to the camera, it wouldn't even connect, rebooted.

Ya the led I have no idea lol...only thing I could tell you is reflash the rom but I don't know if someone else might have a different answer for you...

For some unknown reason I can't hear anyone when they call and they can't hear me. I tested this with several different people. The call isn't muted, and my mic isn't muted. The phone rings, and everything else seems to be fine. Running SD 5.3. Any suggestions chevy?

Update: I resolved this by shutting down the phone, removing the battery and powering back up. Weird.

Thats a known issue with ICS on the D3. It will happen from time to time. A re-boot or sometimes turning BT off and on fixes it. Hope that helps.

I just installed this rom and it won't get passed the boot animation, I have redone every step with wiping cache and I still get stuck at the boot animation. I am new to using bootstrap. When I first try to install the update.zip its says it can't when safe system is disabled. I disable it in safe menu and it install but then it won't get passed the boot animation. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Um, Hi. Kinda new here. I really want to try this but, How would I be able to restore to factory? Is it a simple factory reset, Or do I need to back up my current ROM first? Oh, and will flashing this completely wipe my phone?

If you make a nandroid of your stock ROM or whatever your currently on you can return to that at any time you want.

You can also SBF if your base system isn't 906, but you'd lose everything and that should be a last resort if you get bricked

Okay, So I'm going to make a backup.

So flashing this will not delete everything on my phone. (EG: Music, Photos, Apps)

If you follow all the steps, it will erase all your apps and settings. However, any internal or external sd card data (photos, music) will be kept.
