Yea im rooted. I tried this rom on. 906 before like a few days ago and it wouldn't make it past the loading screen.
So I went to flash back and I softbricked my phone. What should I do if it doesn't load up this time.

I haven't actually tested this method but a quick Google search yielded this via RootzWiki. (If anyone can confirm/deny that this really works, that'd be great).

As for flashing SD 5.6 and getting past the boot animation, I found that this guide was extremely helpful in getting everything flashed properly and the rom working as it should.

And I'm sure you've done this already, but make sure you download one of the SafeStrap APKs from the original post and set that up before meddling with your phone.

EDIT: Also, it's worth noting I did this while running on .906.

I've followed your steps precisely. I am still stuck at the boot screen. I even reverted back to .890 from .906, i dont even know what to try anymore it just sits there and boots, and boots, and boots infinitely. Do you have any idea what could be this problem? I used safestrap, rooted my phone with motofail, but yet nothing is to avail.

Factory Reset, Then reflash.

I have a Droid 3 rooted with Safestrap installed, i tried CM9 but the phone.apk did not work.

Can i just download this room and install ? I already have a bkp of my 2.3.5 room.

Are you asking how to install it?

If you're just asking if it's a good choice, then the answer is YES. This is the best ROM I have tried.

Yes you can but if you're coming from CM9, a wipe is required. This has a different system base.

Yes the overclock would go away unfortunately. Although its not like the D3 really even needs to be OC'd really, its already quite snappy.

PS: I once previously had rooted and installed ROM Toolbox lite and rom manager, don't know if they have any other bootstraps, but I did uninstall them anyways.

Safestrap instructions and flashing a zip file:

1. In main menu select backup and restore, select backup, select internal sd or external sd ( I recomend external just in case something happens and you loose everything on internal sd) and it will create a back up. Go back to main menu.
2. In main menu select factory data reset and select yes.
3. In main menu select Wipe cache and select yes.
4. In main menu select advanced and select Wipe delvik cache and yes. Go back to main menu.
5. In main select safe system and toggle safe system and yes. This will turn safe system on and create a backup. Go back to main menu.
6. Select install zip from sdcard and select choose install zip, scroll to where your zip is (rom if your installing a rom) and select it then select yes. This will flash the zip.
7. Select go back to go back to main menu and select reboot phone.
8. Sit back and relax till system is fully loaded and give it about 5 to 10 minutes to settle.
Congratulations you have just installed safestrap, activated safe system and flashed a zip or rom and good to go. Enjoy

Note: if safestrap is installed and you want to just flash a zip for installing a differfent theme just boot into recovery and flash the zip like you would a rom just don't need to wipe everything just flash.
