[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.6 - Ice Cream Sandwich - 6-8-2012

Hi all!

So I played around with this some and I just really want to go back to default. I am going to get a Droid 4 in a month anyways and it will have the ICS that I want. As of now a lot of the features that I use on my phone the most do not work with this (I use the camera for everything every :( so I need it to function fully).

Can someone please explain the steps to put my phone back to the way it came from the factory.

When I installed this I first rooted, then I installed the Safestrap from hashcode and then put into safemode and then installed via zip file.

I hope that makes sense LOL.

Thanks for any help!

You need to .sbf back to factory settings, simply go back to the OP and follow steps 1-9, that should wipe everything back

OK I got it to download but it gets to step 6 of 18 and then stops and says FAIL. Please help :(

It says:

"Failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. 6/18 flash cdt.bin "cdt.bin" -> Phone returned FAIL.; phone connected"

OK so after reading about 200 forum posts and scouring Google for a couple hours, I am back to 100% out of the box.

I am going to start over with what I have learned and put the Steel Droid 4.5 Gingerbread on my phone. It works 100%, is awesome to look at and is compatible with my phone. :)

from what i have learned you have never bricked your phone until it will do absolutely nothing! this is kinda funny because i thought i bricked mine about a thousand times lol

Oh come on...I just flashed 5.5 last night, and now 5.6 is out? Haha damn it. Please tell me there's a way to simply update the rom without having to reflash the thing entirely.

You don't have to re-SBF, if that's what you're talking about. However, I would recommend wiping everything again. There are risks that come with a dirty install.

Such as what? And either way, I'm losing all the user data I just set up the other day, aren't I?
